With Ireland promising large fines and up to 18 Months imprisonment for non-compliance, I'm hopeful we are on the cusp of an accessible renaissance and I'm really proud of the UK Gov efforts to mandate WCAG over the last 5 years which hopefully can serve as a beacon of inspiration.

It's going to be interesting watching what happens next month when European Accessibility Act (EAA) comes into effect and businesses (ecommerce and banks within EU) are required to comply with WCAG 2.x.

If there is no culture of accessible consideration within an organisation, then often the development team don't have the time to ensure accessibility, they likely have other priorities and focus. Change comes from the top.

❤️ Vitest is absolutely the nooch! I'm currently writing up a blog post about using it with Husky to run on a pre-push hook to automate build tests locally.
