If someone new to activism tells you about something like Blackout Friday, my feeling is you respond and say, “Cool!” and take part because it costs you nothing, then follow up with “Thanks for telling me about that—do you want to join me on [sustained action]?”

From my read the following public school employee pension funds have Tesla holdings (not all of these would include AFT members exclusively): AL, AZ, CA, CO, KY, MD, MI, NM, NY, OR, PA, TX, UT. Really worth considering building divestment campaigns.

I sent a super detailed letter by mail to all our reps and actually got a personal call back from Bernie’s office (from a staffer, but it was a really quick turnaround). Nothing from Welch and his phone mailbox is often full, and it can be hard to catch a staffer.

It’s so evil that I genuinely cannot think about it for longer than ten seconds without becoming incapacitated with rage. Even more so when several of my students with 504s have come to me really scared about it!
