My novel #wishtree is told from the point of view of a 200-year-old red oak. It sounds like an odd choice, but sometimes I find that it’s easier to view humans through a nonhuman lens. It allows so much to shine through: our love and fear, our pain and sadness. Most importantly, our empathy. ❤️🌳
