This book is SO GOOD. 💙📚

I watched three full movies today and I haven't done that in forever. I battle with myself a lot over not being productive enough. Today I said fuck it and rested. Perfection.

Severed

Also since I'm on a horror movie kick again due to the current state of the world, please recommend your favorites. I'm not a fan of movies like Hostel, too violent. But I'm okay with a bit of violence if it's part of the actual plot. I also LOVE campy horror.

Well I watched Longlegs after forever and honestly? I liked it! I tend not to read other people's reviews before I dive into horror movies and I'm glad I didn't this time. The slow burn was so worth it.

Here are the states proposing anti-book ban bills in 2025 so far. These are where you need to direct phone calls and letters–and there are a lot of unexpected states included. That, plus this week's extensive book censorship news: bookriot.com/anti-book-ba...

ICYMI, I got to reveal the cover of my debut novel HIGHER MAGIC this morning! This breathtaking illustration is by Imogen Oh with art direction by Tara Scarcello. @htpbooks.bsky.social @bradfordagents.bsky.social #HigherMagic #2025Debuts #WritingCommunity #BookSky

This was pretty good. Not quite the ending I hoped for, but it was eerie enough to give me the shivers. 💙📚 ⭐⭐⭐

In this scene, Scruffy (who isn't the brightest, but has a keen sense of smell) pretends to know a lot about wine. From a light-hearted satire novella about the adventures of a girl, a small robot, and the heist crew they call family. #WIPSnips #AmWriting #WritingCommunity #WriteSky 💙📚

My girl is BACK, singing about no stress haha. *sob* But I love her so I'll try to listen. #kpop www.youtube.com/watch?v=OLK0...

I finished Jonthan Strange & Mr. Norrell for the first time after attempting to read it 3 separate times. And you know what? The ending was LOVELY. I'm sad I didn't finish it before, but also glad because I really needed it now. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 💙📚

Okay, THE GORGE was so freaking cool. Man, that was a blast to watch!

My twice monthly CSA box arrived and man I am loving all these colors ❤️. I've become such a fan of beets because of these boxes.

My brain has been too stressed to really enjoy reading the last two days, but I've been playing Veilguard like crazy. It's nice when you can actually beat up the darkness.

reminder that reviews really help indie authors and you don't need to worry about sounding like a professional critic, just letting others know how the book made you feel is great☺️

hey for anyone who might want to actually own their kindle books instead of renting them, or who might be thinking of switching to kobo etc and will want to convert them to epubs, you now only have one week before amazon kills your ability to download its ebooks www.theverge.com/news/612898/...

My novel #wishtree is told from the point of view of a 200-year-old red oak. It sounds like an odd choice, but sometimes I find that it’s easier to view humans through a nonhuman lens. It allows so much to shine through: our love and fear, our pain and sadness. Most importantly, our empathy. ❤️🌳

Wandered the South Coast Botanic Garden today as our late Valentine's Day celebration. Hubs knows I'm a fan of being outside in nature. It was such a nice day!

Caitlin Sterling is releasing a new sapphic novel about priests and cannibalism this year, so now is the time for me to recommend The Luminous Dead, which I read in one sitting during peak Covid era and found delightfully claustrophobic. I mean, who doesn't like some queer psychological horror? 🌈📚

This book just keeps getting better and better. Wow. 💙📚

I took a break this week from like, everything. Also took a day off work today. My new meds + the state of everything have just caused me to feel so awful. So I'm trying to take care of myself. Today's call out was a good idea though, I already feel more relaxed.

These are exhausting times so just remember that a nap can do wonders and a glass of milk and some warm cookies will warm your soul. And then we can go back to kicking these mother fuckers in the nuts.

🐻💖love💖🐻

Follow up on my mask search post from before, I ended up ordering from KIND masks and really like them a lot! They have the cone ones I used to order, but I tried the other type and actually like them better. Very pleased! planetofkind.com
