In November, we launched a Women’s Rugby Panel on BBC Radio Cornwall. Lily Fawcett and Jo Holden join us once a fortnight to talk about the women’s game in Cornwall. The latest episode is available here: www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/...

Today in the office, there was a genuine discussion about what makes the best quiche.

Amad is a special talent.

I can hear this screenshot

When they created this app, I do hope the first workshop was called Bluesky Thinking.

Was sent a stretching video by @danielpascoe.bsky.social today. It would do me more damage than the exercise 😂

Found this video fascinating youtube.com/watch?v=7fjn...

Have mainly spent the day doing my Sir Roger Moore impression.

This morning’s moon. Foggy.

I'm 100 pages into writing my latest novel (my magnum opus) and absolutely hating myself 😆 I feel like I'm writing absolute garbage, but then I look at my four published novels and remind myself that I CAN and WILL do it again. Just need to keep the faith 🙏🏼

This morning’s lunar view. Obscured. #moon

Synopsis written today. And it wasn’t as painful as I thought it was going to be. #writing #writer

The second draft is now out to the first readers. So I guess the question is, now what? Start work on the synopsis? Or move on to another project while I wait. I figure a 6 week break might be a good thing, right? #writing

The second draft is now sent out to the first readers 😬 We watch and wait!

Some news. The second draft of the novel is complete. 😬 #writing #books

Another chapter edited tonight. I’ve enjoyed the editing stage more than I thought I would. Taking a 6 week break helped.

Can throughly recommend Honeybees and Distant Thunder by Riku Onda. It was recommended to me by a friend and such a brilliant read so far. Compelling. #reading #books

Many thanks to the eejit who just sped past in his car and took out my trousers.

Is anyone still here? *hello*

Oh no. Not Harold. #neighbours

Wordle = brutal That’s not the answer, it’s merely how I found it.

Was hoping to be @therealnihal.bsky.social’s first follower. Have come in 317th. Love Headliners by the way.

Little known fact. I’m a huge fan of Saint-Saëns. I’m also a huge fan of Yo-Yo Ma. So this works for me: youtu.be/3qrKjywjo7Q?...

when I say I’m excited to speak to Steve Pycroft of the Kaleidoscope #Orchestra tonight, it’s a bit of an understatement! #TheProdigy like you’ve never heard before 😍

Well, hello snow! ❄️✨ #SnowUK

Just saw a post from an author (I forget who, sorry!) talking about not being afraid to celebrate success. I agree but I also think one of the problems with social media is that people only post the good stuff, and it creates an unrealistic narrative. Sharing our failures is just as important. 🧵

First draft of the paper edit done. Now back to the laptop. #writing

The 5.30am run involved avoiding a large puddle and giving directions to the train station. I consider that a success.

A moment of real beauty and genius youtube.com/watch?v=SYx_...

Some interesting words popping up on Wordle these days. There were two last week I’d never heard of!

I saw Timothy West play Lear in 2002. He was absolutely magnificent. A wonderful actor. Great Canal Journeys with his wife Pru was also such lovely viewing.

With the amount of international football now, perhaps it should be renamed the ‘league football break.’

Picked this up today. Can’t wait to read it. #booksky #orbital #bookerprize #books #amreading #reading
