I had forgotten how great Dan Akroyd and Tom Hanks were in Dragnet.

I suspect we'll see a thousand chapbook manuscripts called NO KINGS, all racing to be the first published. And why shouldn't we?

Our first time featuring a comics artist in our reading series!

In case you're sitting on a chapbook manuscript...

Much love to @readalittlepoem.bsky.social for sharing this poem!

This is my favorite advertising ever for a submissions window.

The whole argument seems to be that liberals aren’t hearing enough from fascists and nazis. Like dude, I read the Times, I’m getting their message.

Poetry is where the real sickos are at. The ones who truly dgaf yet simultaneously g the most f

Wake Forest Fungo-- a nice little park!

Tonight at 8 pm

Get ready for the Knicks to suck again

What makes me sad is how many little companies that make great apps won't be there in a year or two because their funders will force them into idiot AI plays.

You know me, I love a mascot.

Aw rats! I had this excellent plan to catch three baseball games in two days down east, but a schedule change means I can only do two of them. 😢

I'm already writing next week's trivia show. When I get it done on a Friday, you can tell I feel like I'm on top of my projects!

Y’all can’t convince me that those first few Edie Brickell albums weren’t straight fire.

Okay but also the best magazines are not at all necessarily the ones that are best funded

Hey Chapel Hill, rainy nights always mean fewer people come to trivia... which means it'll be easier for you to come in and win some bragging rights this week! Doors at 7:30 pm.

Oh god but the video is exactly what it looks like when I try to write a poem

I'm feeling moderately fly, like a G2 or maybe a G3.

Thinking about robbing some AI company head honchos and then telling them that asking permission to use their money would have killed my ability to make art.

Me, like 90% of the time.

Not much better than hanging out with your trusted reader, talking about poems. Even if she's five states away.

Send your chapbook ms!

I don't know why it comforts me, but apparently there are people who advanced quite far on American Idol who have sold about 900 copies of their album.

Blerg. Tests show both of my make.com scenarios working, but when they actually run, one doesn't do the thing it's supposed to do and the other generates errors and stops running.

I like the busses with the bendy part in the middle. I'm not on one right now. Just thinking about busses.

Up since 4:30, so I'm just tinkering with automations.

If I could have one superpower, it might be the power to produce, from thin air, a box appropriately sized to the materials I wish to mail.

Everything about the perversity of this appeals to me.

Very pumped for The Paper, the spinoff/reboot of The Office that Greg Daniels announced. So at trivia tonight, I'm hosting a theme round focused on The Office. If you're in Chapel Hill, stop in-- Rougarou (108 Henderson St.) at 8 pm.

From the moment I read BIG FISH, Daniel Wallace has been one of my literary heroes. Getting to work with him as his publisher has been one of the highlights of my life. BENEATH THE MOON AND LONG DEAD STARS, welcome to the world. bullcitypress.com/product/bene...

Watch out, peeps, I am doing desiiiiign work.

Chapel Hill friends: When the students evaporate in the summertime, my little trivia show (@triviaescapepod.com) has some more seating. Hope you'll come play one Tuesday at 8 pm at Rougarou on Henderson St.

I need a new domain registrar. Who do you like?

The wasp is inside the house. Repeat: the wasp is inside the house.

Drinking beer, watching Atlanta baseball, writing my trivia night, Slack chatting with a friend of 15+ years... this is a pretty excellent Friday.
