AI narrators make me sad. It feels lonely to hear a writer’s words read by a voice that doesn’t get human language. And it’s worse as they get “closer.” The Speak&Spell voices were more honest than this Uncanny Mariana Trench that can fake it for a paragraph before some deathless intonation.
