rlly my mom is just a freak and the thought that's like "you ruined your new thing bc you were irresponsible and didn't take care of it. you don't deserve nice things" is 100% her talking. so after i finish cleaning my room and smoking a blunt i'll be fine

i'm really not extremely bothered by the fact that the mold was there- i took care of it and cleaned everything and am now taking steps to make sure it doesn't happen again + i have never owned a mattress b4 in my life!

the mattress is foam so it was easy to see how deep the mold was, and it wasn't. everything is salvageable. i'm putting the window ac unit back in for the summer which should help keep it drier in there too.

mattress on the floor in a humid room is apparently NOT a good combo lololol. finally got a bedframe today so my mattress will have airflow under it. took the cover off and washed it and rubbing alcohol / baking soda treated the mattress so everything is much better now
