When Jeeves tells you you’re a dick, it’s real.

And they’re wondering why I won’t watch their new shows but I’m sitting on my hands not getting emotionally invested until I know I’m gonna get a proper conclusion out of it.

I’m reminded of Hannah Betfort the way she comes in at 75’ bringing the speed and aggression, like her whole job is to remind the other team how tired they are.

@mayorkwilson.bsky.social if Portland wants to be seen as a real city alongside the likes of Boston, we need you to be this kind of Mayor. Stand up for our immigrant neighbors and let ICE know that they are not welcome here. Clearing the protest is not it.

Amelia did a great job at subbing for Courtney. Every episode (maybe it’s tiredness) Courtney gets the giggles and it’s my favorite part of the show. Amelia came in and delivered with excellent giggles. 10/10

Loved watching her in Portland and cheered for her when she was getting the starts in Gotham. Great stops and great confidence tonight. Just so happy for her.

Meaghann said it - I was a naive Thorns watcher until I started listening to this podcast and it opened my eyes to the strategy, and also drama of the game. And now I’m a thorns fan who screams and cries to see Midge/Press re-take the field, and wears her Zambia jersey when Banda is in the house!

Shocked she didn’t come in at the half.

It was so interesting to watch her play last night. The whole time she’s a few steps offsides looking for the right moment to rush up to get on and then start the run to goal. Thorns back 4 had to be incredibly disciplined, but she’s behind them so they had to keep track of her over their shoulders.

I watched it live but this picture still makes me a little verklempt. I am all in on Hanks.

Did you see her go after CP23 the other week like she was the big dog and Press was the cub?! It was so great. No hesitation.

All I want to do today is talk Thorns. This is great.

When you say midfielders need to be midfielders and stop pretending to be forwards you mean Moultrie and not Sugita, right?

With the predominance of video calls, I use physical gestures: thumbs up, wiggling my fingers toward the camera, or exaggerated facial expressions to replace verbal utterances, because the conversation requires the back-and-forth, but the technology doesn’t allow for seamless overlap.

There are lots of spaces where power is left uncontested (school board races, library boards, state legislator races). We can contest power and win power now!

More and more I am convinced that the only effective queer activism is going to be loud, unrelenting, and confrontational. Yes it will also be useful to have "friendly" and respectable queers who can do diplomacy and negotiation but those folx will need a stick and we need to be that stick. 2/

I was gonna say same thing. I want Gwen and everything she is and every character she plays. 😍

And if you haven’t noticed before, it is just A Chorus Line without tails.

It is another super common story: “only one can be chosen”! And Cats in particular, like so many others in the Only One can be Chosen family, it isn’t the strongest or smartest, but the one with the most heart.

I would like to have her for all year. Please.
