I spoke with two National Park volunteers and a ranger yesterday. They were very unhappy.

House of David. A religious sect that was very successful and based in Benton Harbor, MI. They had a baseball team, and amusement park. A dairy, a printshop. Worth checking out, fascinating.

Came in the mail today. Opened it after going to a protest in Traverse City, MI. There was much more love than hate expressed by drivers going past.

I’m proud to say I read the Rebecca Solnit book. But I’m ashamed to say that is the only I’ve read from those… The older I get the more clearly I see the gaps in my knowledge.

Our country, the US, is almost unrecognizable. And, I grew up with Nixon and Reagan as president. A country grounded in greed, theft and lies.
