spent all evening getting a physical suspension simulation running on the tank game. i’m surprised by how well it came together!

playing with some v crunchy dithering shaders, using a per-object material rather than dithering in a postprocessing shader means i can do interesting things with colour palettes. each object has it's own light/mid/dark tones, and can inherit specular lighting from nearby lights. #gamedev #godot

The UI design in this Soyuz astronaut training software goes extremely hard.

The issue with the video game AI model isn’t necessarily that the games will be bad (they will). it’s that video games are art, and art is human. Big tech really wants to reduce all creative acts to a data slurry that goes down easy, but i want janky, confusing, abrasive art.
