I agree, and in general I dislike her writing. I do find myself going back to to certain passages in this book, though, which is why I included it in my list. I read it at a time when my family was experiencing a lot of death, and it spoke to me then.

I would love to take part in conversations on translating complex scientific topics for lay audiences. I've taught basic literacy, math, and science to adult learners for years. It's scary how many people turn to right wing sources for information when they can't find accessible alternatives.

Thomas Massie (KY) was the only Republican to vote against the bill. Given his interest in the Secretary of Agriculture position, his vote surprises me. You can also see the 52 Democrats who voted FOR the bill here: clerk.house.gov/Votes/202445....
