My favourite gif of a cat sticking its paw into a glass

I cannot but hear it through the lens of Lambchop anymore, where it got transformed into into something ethereal lambchop.bandcamp.com/track/this-c...

Most accurate would have been the 12" single of Heart Of Glass. But the German version of that had the most boring cover, so gonna just let that slide

Cafe ist zwar nur ¼ voll, dafür gibt es Neko Case über die Lautsprecher, gut um die Seele zu beruhigen 😍

It's quite funny how quickly folks get unexpectedly angry when you do that. Happened once back in the day, when was still using Literate Programming techniques.

Number of runways also doesn't allow you to deduce amount of parallel takeoff/landings, so 🤷‍♂️. Most airports will have multiple runways, but still only ever allow one to be used at a time. Heathrow does double. Less than 40 worldwide have ability for triple.

Two of my old time faves no one knows or remembers are Raging Slab and The Fatal Flowers. The whole late 80s early 90s southern style bluesy hard rock thing got eclipsed by Black Crowes and most of the bands vanished quickly

Still waiting for the last two to download. Some of the quality is so-so, with hard burned subtitles or small resolution sizes, but gift horse and such. I also took this as a good reason to get Blurays for all the films I didn't yet have, which turns out isn't too expensive, most around 10-12€.

I was quite taken by the SKI combinator calculus for a while. I did like Forth back in the day, so the simplicity of SKI was intoxicating

I mean, damn, the disappointment in this is off the charts, like they're disappointed in me personally, all funneled through an end of times Melvins vibe youtu.be/gb4eH6QLMrM

Still remember hearing Julie Christmas' band Made Out Of Babies the first time on a Neurot Records sampler and being blown away, searching for anything by them and her

I supported the book in the real early days of Kickstarter and got a lovely postcard and CD with mp3s from Morocco from them 😍

Had that the first time reading the fabulous Uproot by Jace Clayton (aka DJ /rupture). Luckily back in the day, he'd assembled a wee page of links to stuff mentioned in the book. Unfortunately, that no longer exists, or rather, it looks like the domain lapsed and someone is now squatting.

Just to expand on what gross means. The snare sounded like someone banging a kitchen pot, the kick could barely be heard, the bass sounded like a banjo. The high pitched guitars pierced the ears. If this was a technical issue, you wouldn't let it go on for 15 minutes. Shit show of a concert.

I'm pretty glad that this did not end up tainting my love for my favourite venue, phew

I think what probably happened is that the tear down of the first act, who was playing audience level, knocked down and dragged my jacket along for a bit, and they hung it back up wherever they were when they noticed

This appears to be a general problem, I have it in Berlin too. I have ended up collecting links to all venues and promoters I know and eye them regularly for what's on. Downside is that many of those websites have really really bad visual design. And I still miss some I'd have liked to go see

I always put this behaviour down to the general disapproval many express when others are having fun. See also religious folks. Once you get enough of them in any space they feel emboldened and quickly become a right nuisance
