I'm feeling very chatty and just rambling in various Discord servers and thinking, god, how do people make friends. Who could I ramble about this TO, because surely the people in the ttrpg servers also talk about these things? But not in the server? How do you bridge the gap!

New pin drop by Robin 😍 Share their original post so more people can see these gorgeous pins! ⬇️

The technical museum in Brno. They have an exhibit with items I used to play with back in the 90s. It definitely made at impression on me. www.theworldinmypocket.co.uk/how-to-spend... #TravelAddictsTreasures #TravelAddicts #TravelBloggersCommunity

I ought to post here more, but I'm currently just starting a two week vacation backpacking in a place with better food and drink than home, and less mist, and warmer weather, and cheaper, and more aesthetic, and and and ... So there's that.

Hippie or happie? I'll take both, please #nomadlife

Any slight rise in the temperature and I’m getting ice cream 😅 #londonlife #london #bubblewrap

Wowzers

Brilliant

The micropub in Todmorden, from where a Queer running group go on casual runs on Wednesdays, have a 'buy 9 pints get a 10th free' offer with a card you get stamped. Queerness, running, craft beer with incentives. Why does Todmorden have to be so close, yet so awkward to get to?!

So this happened.

Let's end this fuckwitery , and look to #rejoin the #europeanunion as soon as possible ...

There's something lovely about a now and then comparison photograph so here's St Magnus Cathedral in Kirkwall, #Orkney as it looks now, and how it looked to photographer Tom Kent more than a century ago. The spire was replaced in the early 20th century. Archives are amazing. ❤️

Every time I am in South Africa, I am reminded that somebody really needs to stop South Africa naming biscuits.

Hahaha I feel watched.

The more dour the world gets, the more I seem to crave community and human contact, and the more I realise just how isolated I've spent most of my life, relatively speaking. It's partly also why I'm throwing myself into so much travel this year. Because I can. Next year's not a given.

Still in awe that everyone survived. Remember… 1) wear your seatbelt 2) listen to flight attendants

Oh. Rick Buckler. Not my favourite drummer, but definitely one of my favourite bands.

Thoughts and prayers go out to all of the good people named JD

I try too hard. Overexplaining, overplanning, overthinking. Whether it’s travel, conversations, or just existing, I want to get it 'right.' But the best experiences and insights seem to happen when I let go. Maybe I don’t need to prove anything. Maybe life works the same way...

Today I didn't buy a 1kg bag of mini eggs because I knew I'd just eat the whole thing in one sitting and feel sick and now all I can think about is how I want to eat a 1kg bag of mini eggs in one sitting.

Ah, that wonderful moment when you wake up at 5:30 to catch a very expensive peak time train, get to the station, and the train is cancelled. Such a UK thing.

Farage gets a lot of press because he says "exciting" things whilst the Greens, for example, are probably too nice to make headlines. Should somebody on the left start making a noise about roping up billionaires?

Nuke the site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

Why is the Apprentice stuffed full of six form suits wearing ties? Does anyone still wear ties in the real world?

I'm nauseous from jet lag and trying to stay awake by editing photos from Palau. Here's the postcard-perfect image - an area called 70 Islands which is part of the Rock Islands UNESCO World Heritage Site. I was so lucky to see it in perfect weather yesterday, from a doors-off scenic flight.

Wishing everyone a peaceful and restful Sunday. Please take care of yourself and your loved ones. Take the time to breathe and relax during these stressful times. Sending all our love and strength. #sundaymorning 🌞 Photo 📸 Guincho Beach, Cascais, Portugal. 🇵🇹

My colleague was sick last week, he wore a mask, opened the windows, cancelled in person meetings. Turns out it's really simple to not be a dick.

Today has been slightly frustrating from a travel planning point of view. It's hard to work out an itinerary when the only schedule i could find was for January 2020. Oh, and the organisation's email address doesn't work...

It's a dismal day in #Malvern , so we abandoned our hike through the hills . I did spot this beautiful George IV postbox though. I'd never seen this lovely fluted design before 📮❤️ #postboxsaturday

SoulACE is a new day that celebrates the intersectionality of African American asexuals, African American asexual contributions to ace activism, art, and culture. It takes place on February 16th and was founded by Marshall J. Blount, Alysha Rogers, and Kimberly Butler.

Seriously, creative folks: Don't be afraid to let people know your stuff is out there for them, or worry that "now is not the time for that." People are stressed and freaked out and looking for the things that will give them a moment of rest and joy. It is EXACTLY the time for what we do. Tell them.

@bustedpretty.bsky.social ... do you have a podcast trailer? I'm going to start promoting other podcasts within my episodes, and trailers feel like the best way of doing it!

Hello hello :) Just to inform you my latest podcast episode is out, covering the first half of my recent trip to South America. This one covers Uruguay and Buenos Aires. traveltalesfrombeyondthebrochure.libsyn.com/tango-in-the...
