Did I decide to abandon my other books to read all of Rogue Protocol tonight? Yes I did. Was it worth it? Absolutely Do I know what to do with myself while I wait *NINETEEN WEEKS* for the next murder or book to be available from the library? No. No, I do not. My favorite Murderbot story yet.

TFW multiple library books become available and you don’t want to have them delivered later because you’ve already waited *months* for them, but also you are hooked on two other books that you are smack dab in the middle of.

Getting home late from a party and my kitchen still smells like the red beans and rice I cooked for it. It’s a nice feeling, knowing you have friends feed.

The Gilda Stories has a chapter set in 2020 and it’s kind of fun seeing what someone in the 90s thought this time period would look like.

Since January of this year, US government websites have been removing any reference to trans and nonbinary identities---including the website for the Stonewall National Monument. Yes, that Stonewall. But we’re still here, and we’re not going anywhere.

For Valentines, my partner and I took the trek up to Wonderbook in Frederick. We got a little worried when it started snowing halfway there, but it was worth the weather to see how excited they got picking out their presents 😊

I’m about halfway through The Gilda Stories by Jewelle Gomez and am continually wondering how I hadn’t heard of it until recently. Provided things continue at this level of excellence for the second half, this may become my favorite vampire novel of all time.

The Gilda Stories is off to an incredibly strong start. I’m enjoying the take on vampires so far.

Be gay, read gay books

I needed some good news today. Remember that it’s still early days, and while a lot of irrevocable damage is being done, people are fighting it. statuskuo.substack.com/p/is-somebod...

Today, I finally managed to find a way to wear a binder that hides my chest instead of emphasizing it. I’ve tried binder after binder for years with no luck, and have worried I’d be have nothing until top surgery. With how things have been in the US, that has been a scary thought. But not anymore!

Sk8 was the vines I needed tonight. Colorful, queer, and super goofy. Glad I got the chance to introduce a friend to one of my favorite comfort watches.

Everything I read in January. Still working on putting up reviews in StoryGraph. Also started but not yet finished: *I’ll Have What He’s Having by Adib Khorram *One Hundred Years if Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez
