It still amazes me that Für Elise is “in the air” as much as it is. A kid from any demographic will be at the piano playing the opening. Why does it hold such charm? Beethoven’s Bagatelle No 25 in A minor was not published during his lifetime. It was found 40 years after his death. He fascinates me.
