it's most of them! the rest are just stringing pop-culture references together, that were often outdated when the songs were new

I also had a big shock when I found out multiple friends of mine used the twitter algo page. When I expressed that shock, they all said they just use it for looking at anime tiddies, and as long as that's all they use it for, that's all it'll give them. Hard to fault that logic lol

they are dubious little creatures, but the way jack gently places his hand on their head, and the way they quiver before bursting into crystals, makes me feel bad

oh, they got the sonic the sketchog line stickers in that

Did not enjoy the combat, but thankfully there are multiple difficulty levers to tweak it. It's just that normal was too tedious and annoying, but easy is way too easy. Like, "you can beat most bosses in 2 - 3 rounds" easy. But I'll take too easy over too hard.

in retrospect I probably should have smashed the optional bosses that way and then fought the boss normally, but at this point, fuck it. it was kinda way too easy with both of those turned down, but I still almost got blown out at the end when the overdrive meter got out of control

ok so the solution is to just crank the difficulty down lmao I gave one of the optional bosses a try but got blown out by a surprise second form. so I turned down both enemy stats and "aggression" which after doing the fight I assume means the chance for them to use a good skill + focusing low hp

also, you can't just grind levels in this game. you get these gold stars when you beat bosses that let you pick a new skill, and sometimes those skills give you a handful of stats like a traditional level up would. so it's weird to replace one grind with another, less effective one.

which I did on a few of them, but its hard to really gauge how impactful and important a few stat points really are. I thought they would just be a nice thing to have, especially since they'll just get replaced in another hour or two. but I guess I gotta grind for upgrade materials

also I probably should have grinded to upgrade my weapons and armor? not like, getting the best equipment I can from the shop, which I did, but getting upgrade materials to make them like, sword +1, +2, etc.

I still believe! I remember those dev streams, even though I was a drunken mess back then. 😅 I thought it was really cool to get a peek behind the curtain like that

the type of skill that can lower the meter is random. but this early in the game, one of those types of skills is only on one party member, and that skill is only for spreading poison on a target to all other targets. So it's kinda useless in a single target boss fight.

try tree but hole

also, I don't know if they're actually worse, but shields and poise have *felt* worse in every game after ds1. I just wanna run around cool areas, fight interesting combinations of trash, try to anticipate and react to surprise attacks, and laugh at getting got by miyazaki's trick

it really does suck to be an explore guy. 😔 souls games have had a constant speed and damage creep to their bosses to please the hardcore git gud guys with each game, where it got unfun for me in ds3, and was just miserable in elden ring.

Fatebringer is the only one I really want anyways, and it'd feel wrong for it to have anything besides explosive payload + firefly
