No Kings protest. Medford, Oregon.

For those of you watching what is going down and say, "This is not America," please sit down, as I have some unsettling news for you.

NEWSOM: "It's a vulgar display. It's the kind of thing you see with Kim Jong Un, Putin, dictators that are weak… How weak do you have to be to commandeer the military for your birthday?“

I honestly think it’s time for some Dems to start dropping f-bombs. On national television. Let’s start acting like the crisis this is

Remember, don't call them "illegals." That's a slur used only on nonwhite people. FOX has never called a white lawbreaker "an illegal." Call them "Christian refugees." It's accurate, moral, and will infuriate the right fake Christians.

Everything that’s happened over the past six months has been a response to an imaginary crisis. There is no immigrant invasion. No trade crisis. No scientific or governance crisis. Just people completely high off their own supply trying to fundamentally reorder society. None of this had to happen.

Whenever law enforcement agents are given a quota of a specific number of people to arrest or detain, especially with the WH policy director screaming at their superiors to hit those target numbers, bad things are going to happen. Quotas always result in civil rights violations.

The enemy of my enemy is still my enemy but I still like seeing them fight

I'm so old.

Nobody in congress should have access to healthcare until every single American does

Pope Leo XIV will be celebrating a mass in Chicago on the same day as Trump’s multi-million tax paid birthday military parade. Chicago is expecting at least 1 million people to show up for the event. If you can make it to the Pope’s mass then do it, make it the biggest event of the day.

Asked my University students what they knew about the French Revolution. Crickets. I shared some info.

Hard not to notice that ICE isn't breaking up drug rings or gangs (because we would ABSOLUTELY hear about it if they were), but instead are dressing up like bank robbers and doing the laziest shit possible, like hanging out at immigration court or grabbing people for busted taillights. Worthless

Final performances today of my play Ben and Imo . Thanks to all who’ve come and made every performance a sell out. If you missed it, you can watch an on line screening orangetreetheatre.co.uk/whats-on/ben...

so the members of congress just stopped going to el salvador and not a single person who was illegally sent there has been returned and that’s just how it is now?

People who never read books now in charge of books.

“Abolish ICE” is the moderate position. Radical is “prosecute every ICE employee under RICO.”

Maybe I'm wrong, but I feel like if a US exchange student in a foreign country (say, Turkey?) was imprisoned for six weeks because they wrote an op-ed in the student newspaper it would be a huge domestic story and an international incident.

Don’t give in to the lies. Don’t give into fear. Never. Ever. 🇺🇸

Exactly

Amen.

What a topsy-turvy traipse into authoritarianism when judges are afraid to arrest Trump administration people for clear contempt of court but Trump administration people are unafraid to arrest judges for no good reason whatsoever.

Autism isn’t an epidemic. It's not a disease. It’s a natural variation in how people think…which, frankly, is a relief in a world where most people don't think at all.

Always been my experience. Even when I was the one being the bully.

@pmbennett.bsky.social Paul, just a side note to say that back when we were on FB, you spoke about your morning process with your cats (primarily the personalizing of greetings) and that stuck with me. Did it this morning with my boy.

We are committed to spreading his name every day until he is home. We hope you'll do the same.

This is the energy we need!!! bsky.app/profile/acyn...

“They were careless people…they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness…and let other people clean up the mess they had made…” -- F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby (April 10, 1925).

I cannot overstate the importance of reading books, particularly novels by respected authors, for critical thinking skills and reading comprehension. If the big gun novelists don't interest you, start small and work your way up. Or read whatever interests you. Just read. Or listen. It's all books.
