After watching the difference between Israel bombing EVERY HOSPITAL in Gaza INTENTIONALLY for TWO YEARS STRAIGHT, and what seems like a Iranian stray missile hitting an Israeli hospital (which is bad, too!) - I'm done with Western media. This isn't journalism. It is complicity in genocide.

Replaying Brexit mistakes, play for play? They were bad then. Now? There is no excuse. Human rights exist to prevent against the rise of fascism. The only people who want to remove them are fascists and those they dupe into helping them:

Farage and the far right in general come from a grievance culture. If you do what they want, even maximally – Brexit – they’ll move the goalposts and keep moaning. If you engage seriously with their concerns, they’ll find new ones. You will never satisfy them, because they don’t want to be satisfied

"People are sick of following politcians in the pockets of arm manufacturers into unwinnable wars in the Middle East. Lest we forget, Iraq, when we were again tempted into a conflict on the basis complete and utter nonsense"

It's notable that the only student speech frequently shut down on university campuses is a) pro-Palestine b) pro-trans-rights. The OfS seems *deeply* unconcerned about that speech being limited. In fact, they want academics who oppose those positions to have the right to 'shock and offend' students.

between dobbs and this, it seems clear to me that the next step at the state level will be making access to abortion, and possibly even contraception, illegal for anyone under the age of 18. if minors do not have a stake in their sexual/bodily autonomy in this case, why should they in any case?

The National Association of the Deaf filed suit arguing the removal of sign language interpreters violates section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act (precursor to ADA). If you want to learn about the amazing protests that finally led to 504 being enforced, check out Forgotten America 🗃️ bit.ly/GunterTGC

NEW: As bombs fell in Tehran, AIPAC got to work—contacting members of Congress to urge them to support Israel's actions. One member got 100 phone calls. It paid off: nearly 80 members released messages of support, including 28 that explicitly used AIPAC's preferred "stand with Israel" language.

Just a reminder that the West destroyed Iran’s progressive democracy in 1953, deposing a leader beloved of the people, and installed a dictatorship in his place. The US and UK have been terrorising that country for as long as any of us have been alive. It’s sick.

He came here because he knows that's where the trans people fled to. That is the only reason. He just wants direct contact with his victims.

Jesse Singal is cited 3 times in the amicus briefing for the decision to allow states to ban youth gender-affirming care www.supremecourt.gov/DocketPDF/23...

BREAKING via ABC NEWS “President Donald Trump is getting comfortable with the idea of taking out Iran's Fordo nuclear facility. It would not be just one strike on the facility, it would be several. There is now a movement to get ready for this.”

The NYT was cited in the Supreme Court ruling used to strip trans people of healthcare. This is EXACTLY WHY the “just asking questions” crowd of centrist edgelord journalists are dangerous. They launder transphobia through faux neutral “debate” and act like it’s intellectual curiosity

Brutal.

Wild how the Fed chair saying that *entire regions of the United States* won’t be able to get a mortgage in the next decade barely registered as a news event

Gilead has announced that lenacapavir, the game-changing HIV prevention drug just approved by the FDA will cost $28,218 USD per person per year. Researchers say a generic version could be made for just $25 per person a year. Capitalism kills.

In 2002, Netanyahu urged the US to invade Iraq. He got his wish. The cost: Hundreds of thousands dead. Trillions in taxes. And he was helped by some of the most overconfident, blood-thirsty figures in American public life. Here's 10 of them who were wrong back then, and are now back at it again:

"After 23 years of service, I was fired from my position as a Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, for being critical of Israel’s violence in Gaza and speaking out against the racism that leads to genocide " mondoweiss.net/2025/06/uc-s...

🚨URGENT — Dr. Ahmad Al-Farra, Director of Pediatrics at Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis, Gaza, warns that within 48 hours, premature and newborn babies could start dying due to a lack of infant formula and essential milk supplies.

Israeli forces have killed at least 70 Palestinians and injured hundreds more in yet another massacre of people seeking humanitarian aid in Gaza, representing the single deadliest day at sites related to the U.S.- and Israel-backed “aid” scheme described by the UN as a “death trap.”

Not enough people know this man. His name. His face. His mission. He is a one-man wrecking ball. He's a radical. And he's in charge. www.politico.com/news/2025/06...

There were millions of adults on US streets in '03 protesting the invasion plans. Largest protests in *world history*. Politicians on both sides voted to invade anyway & the movement had no plan to escalate until demands were met. Dems turned the movement into a PAC and Bush got re-elected. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I spoke with several leading archaeologists to better understand the impact recent federal funding cuts will have on archaeology in the US. The future doesn’t look good. #NSF #NEH #archaeology #paleoanthropology #heritage New at @science.org 🏺🧪

A wave of legislation and executive actions have targeted transgender people, particularly teens, by stripping away gender-affirming care and other essential rights, but intersex people and anyone who doesn’t conform to strict sex binaries also stand to lose something as a result.

🤔

Trump asks the Juventus players standing behind him if women could make their team and tries to bait them into endorsing his transphobia

In my opinion the groups most responsible for this harm to trans kids are... The Times The Telegraph The Guardian New Statesman The Mail The Express Channel 4 The Atlantic BBC News The Spectator New York Times IMO transphobia is a top-down practice engaged in by powerful, unaccountable elites.

Incredibly important read. This is exactly what LAPD did to me and two other legal observers standing on a quiet street corner this past weekend—except with rubber bullets, not pepperballs, and aimed at our heads, not our feet. …oh, and the officer waved tauntingly right before shooting at us.

The Iranians *were* negotiating, then Israel chose to launch a massive surprise attack and killed their chief negotiator. The lies from Trump and Netanyahu are endless and breathtaking

These soulless people see this as a lucrative business for “doing what they love” (his words not mine.) You know who else had that same energy? Slave catchers in the late 17th and 18th centuries.

Further proof the Nazigraph is not reputable it’s a nazi pamphlet with a budget

1. BREAKING via the Financial Times British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has put his cabinet on alert for a possible US attack on Iran, just 24 hours after insisting Donald Trump had given no indication he was about to “get involved in this conflict”.

I want to see non-disabled people shouting about the disability benefit cuts. If you spoke out about trans rights, abortion rights, or migrant rights in recent weeks? Good on you! If you aren’t doing the same for disabled people, ask yourself why.

These people really only talk bull shit. Nothing Cruz says makes any sense yet he claims his whole life is founded on that same bull shit. This is not the fucking 1200s. Wtf

One thing that's psychologically fascinating about Bluesky is in the absence of an algorithm you're quite sincerely thrown into a wild west marketplace of ideas and have to survive on, uh... merit. A lot of journalists are finding their ideas aren't popular. Rather, they are just well paid.

WASHINGTON (AP) - The Trump administration resumes processing visas for foreign students but demands access to social media accounts.

The 'revelation' here is a bizarre NYT hit piece on a researcher who said she wanted to make sure her findings were accurate before publishing them.

Psychotic Jerusalem Post editorial wants U.S. to "Forge a Middle East coalition for Iran’s partition. Encourage long-term plans for a federalized or partitioned Iran.... Offer security guarantees to Sunni, Kurdish & Balochi minority regions willing to break away." This is far past even regime change

All of the times Netanyahu said Iran is getting nukes Going back to 1995 The absolute failure of media outlets who continue to take Israel’s claims at face value is astonishing

Just gonna leave this here

The United States, that "beacon of democracy", has intervened in 128 elections since 1946 to shape political outcomes in their own interests.

Shorter Alito's concurrence: "The majority said the law doesn't discriminate against transgender status. I disagree. I think it does discriminate against transgender status and that's good." He's just completely given up on the game and is happy to tell everyone what the majority really believes.

Sure glad we wasted 4 years doing fuck all to fix the Supreme Court
