update: found yet another route, actually a mix of the old and new route. haven't tried it in rush hour traffic yet so we'll find out tomorrow how it holds up, but seemed pretty good on our trial ride today!

He did say he’d been thinking about getting a bike too. Told him he doesn’t have to sell his car if he’s not ready, he can rent bikes and there’s all different kinds. He said he wishes he was closer to mass transit (bro we live in the same neighborhood lol) but I said we ought to have a train
