Doing something can be donating. Something can be volunteering. Something can be calling your reps incessantly. Something that be showing up to protests. Something can be showing up for your local community. Something can be loudly defending those who are being oppressed. 4/x

2/x I’ve already spoken to donating to places that have the energy (like ACLU), but here are some books you can read to LEARN and see what small or big things you can possibly do (many may like “Micro Activism”!); learn from, and more

When she first showed me her Chobani branding work (which she did to highlight her abilities) I thought they were just straight up ads from Chobani!! I’d say in the way my skillset is diverse is mapping, hers is even more so, in classical through modern art and design 🤩

feel lost/exhausted/other emotion What I’ve learned from the amazing people I have worked with in CBOs is 1) lean into community and 2) self care, to make sure to keep being able to fight 3) do things locally 4) donate 5) be loud and push reps 6) pay attention, keep eyes open - repeat list (😮‍💨)

I have found following as many CBOs, social justice and equity focused nonprofits, plus also orgs like @aclu.org of course (plus donating when I can) to be helpful because 1) they share calls to action and sometimes tell me what to do and 2) I know donating is helping support their action when I

The aid side alone: USAID always has also been part of a broader and important part of political power across the global stage.

I’ve got a lot of opinions about “global power” but the reality is every nation globally - especially those who historically have been larger “powers” at the international stage - consider aid and development as part of their “power” strategies So for anyone who doesn’t understand the value of
