Trump promised peace on day one — nearly 100 days in, Putin is still bombing civilians while playing the U.S. president like a fiddle, writes former Swedish Prime Minister Carl Bildt in his op-ed.

Fuckity bye RIP, the Guardian-Observer 1993-2025. It wasn't a natural death. The biggest journalistic bloodletting in a generation. Rest in power ✊ open.substack.com/pub/broligar...

"the president defied a Supreme Court ruling to return a man mistakenly sent to a gulag... and spoke of sending Americans to foreign concentration camps. This is the beginning of an American policy of state terror, and it has to be identified as such to be stopped" snyder.substack.com/p/state-terror

It's also the day for my favorite meme! If this aging Klingon warrior can get it right, so can anyone.

The first hint of pasqueflower. If you're an early spring flower in a Nordic climate, being fuzzy is sensible.

They love this “run the government like a business” canard coz it conjures images of efficiency and accountability. The reality is, it’s about increasing profits for the few over the wellbeing of the many. If the government operated the way a business does, the citizenry should rightfully revolt.

As of Friday, there have been 46 cases in which federal judges have blocked Trump policies. The rulings in those cases have come from 39 different judges appointed by 5 different presidents (of both parties) to 11 different district courts across 7 different circuits. Maybe it's not the judges?
