Listen to Linda. Note every win. Yes, even small ones. Did you pay that bill? Did you feed yourself? Did you make sure you got enough sleep? If you took care of yourself & other people as well as you could, please pat yourself on the back. Count every win, the resistance ones & the everyday ones 💚👊🏻

Our DM got a tattoo of the infamous crab !!!!!!!

Medicaid is not for sale. NASA is not for sale. The Post Office is not for sale. America is not for sale. We have an obligation to resist kings. We outnumber them. And they can be overwhelmed.

“I just wanna say trans people are beautiful. We are never going to stop existing. I’m never gonna stop being trans, a letter on a passport can’t change that, and fuck this administration.”

Among the states are South Carolina (yes, a reversal of their current school book ban legislation!), Rhode Island, Arkansas, Tennessee, and many more. If you have been calling when you're opposing a bill, here's an opportunity to call in support.

Another hyper-educational longform piece from Nandini Balial:

Calling yourself a king doesn't make you a king. Being Margo Hanson makes you a king.

I want to say again to academics who are interested in public writing. Look locally. Sure national outlets are good and I do that too, but this kind of visibility in your community can have a real impact.

this friday is MONDAYING

preeti did get into bed at 9:30 but then preeti stayed up till 1am reading comics on her phone 😡

Never, ever, ever use AI for anything you are writing, or for any part of your writing. If you would not plagiarize, which you should not, and you should know you should not, do not use the plagiarism machine that is AI. Thanks!

Here are the states proposing anti-book ban bills in 2025 so far. These are where you need to direct phone calls and letters–and there are a lot of unexpected states included. That, plus this week's extensive book censorship news: bookriot.com/anti-book-ba...

I'm sorry but I'm just not going to be cowering in fear of these clowns. They suck and they are cruel but they are not God.

“It’s a book about friendship & love… & reconciliation & redemption, it’s about the weight of history, & the necessity of hope in dark times. I like to say that it’s a book about love & resistance, love as a form of resistance, & resistance as an act borne of love.” @libbabray.bsky.social on GMA 🔥

Being potentially barred from voting in the future wasn't among the many reasons why I easily dismissed the idea of changing my last name to my husband's, but here we are. www.salon.com/2025/02/21/a...

When you go to the shop this week to pick up your pulls, let them know you want Laura Kinney: Wolverine #4!

This is getting at why I appreciate #TeslaTakeDown - wagingnonviolence.org/ipra/2025/02...

some talking points other than the obvious if you need them: - this is governmental overreach - this increases the chances of having to strip at the airport for *everyone* - what about intersex people - this is wasteful and inefficient and a dumb use of government resources

If you, like me, have been looking for a mutual aid project to donate to, this one is open this week for the next quarter! Any weekly amount is welcome

By the way, this is one of the issues where you might be able to make some headway with GOP reps if you live in a rural district. It has always been the heavily red rural districts that stopped them from destroying USPS in the past. Reps know their constituents depend on USPS.
