Aw fuck. I’ll be revisiting some classics/favourites tonight : Mississippi Burning, The Conversation, Young Frankenstein, Enemy Of The State, and The French Connection films of course.

I honestly couldn’t leave any one album out. I’ve sort of reached a point over the years where I feel they’re all pretty equal in their brilliance.

Along with Fugazi’s Instrument and REM’s Tourfilm, one of the greatest music documentaries ever. So many great (and not so great for them) moments.

YHF & Ghost… were always definite choices for me , and although Summerteeth isn’t quite there wholly it’s where I started, and it sets up YHF nicely. And there’s Via Chicago and Shot In The Arm so…. We got it right. ✅

I love Brendan’s vocal on this one.

Their solo albums are also pretty fab (especially the ones nearest to the Cardinal era)… Can recommend Richard’s solo, and with the Moles albums… youtu.be/ZRKbUgwMOiY?...

Was initially thinking about Cardinal - Richard Davies & Eric Matthews’ brilliant coming together - but they kinda did a ‘reunion’ album 2 decades later… still it sort of fits the bill: incredible album, falling out…

Still hoping for somewhere a bit nearer 🤞 (Bit in Mojo as well as this month’s Uncut).

Lovely version - it’s my favourite Bill/Smog song. Sad, beautiful and profound.
