do i roll my eyes at a lot of DEI stuff? yeah, i wrote a whole essay about why i thought it was bullshit back in 2020. but trump et al aren’t saying, “corporate DEI policies mainly exist to protect corporate interests from discrimination lawsuits.” they’re saying “get the blacks out”

Subscribed because of this article. An example of great journalism we desperately need right now

This is a five-alarm fire. There are many fires burning right now, and this one is harder to fully grasp than some. But while tariffs will do rapid economic damage, this one is not only an economic threat but has moved us another big step toward losing our democracy entirely. 12/12

Idk who the anti-DEI idiot wrote that article is but according to the cancer researchers I know this is not fine. They are very concerned. Their ability to continue to do their ground breaking research is very much at risk

How do you know that would have had a impact?Unfortunately AOC is not at the top of dem leadership. Keeping Biden or switching candidates were both losing options even if there was a new primary. The dem leadership put themselves in that position not AOC.

You can join the republicans if you honestly believe that shit! Like for real GTFO of the Democratic party we don’t want you.

What got us into into the mess to begin with is dems putting up zero fight, not purity politics. Elon turned twitter into toxic cesspool that emboldens far right voices and worsens engagement with leftist ideas. There is no hope to win people over on X. Moving to new platform best thing dems can do

Exactly, there is absolutely no energy or excitement coming from centrists of the party. Running more tepid campaigns trying to appeal to moderate Republicans is straight up insanity. We just did that and lost!

Big mistake of the dems to embraced the moderate left over the progressives portion of the party. Theres no juice there! The Repubs know this and they shunned their moderate right while capturing the energy of their maga wing.
