Me? Oh, I'll be in my rack...

Just remember, sometimes the day getting hard is just it trying to show it's appreciation for you. May you find joy often through your day.

Hey, at least it's a tank from the 1980's or later. Still, that didn't sound like the standard engine for an Abrams.

Oh, and I think I figured out why it looked familiar. It's not that I've solved it before, but that I had set up the puzzle to solve on my normal system, and...Well, that didn't work out. Ok, comming up, Medium puzzle R251...

So, why move to the studio? Well mostly because where I've been streaming Sudoku solves from, the monitor I monitor OBS on, is acting up. Looks like the inverter for the backlight is failing. Maybe I can fix it, but it's going to be either time, or money. In any case the solution for puzzle 259 is

really need a good external timer for the puzzle that doesn't go away if the Enter key on a keyboard gets hit. That said, I believe the duration was 31 min and change, just didn't get the change. Gotta work on getting onto a better time, so that I'm not falling asleep. See yup in a bit.

And back to being off schedule by a bunch. Going to have to fix this incrimentally I guess. In any case, see me attempt to solve this at twitch.tv/rusty0102, or youtube.com/@rusty0101

As I say, it's a bit late to get ahead of that 20 day lead time for a proclamation request this year If it happened and one is in the offing, great. If it didn't happen, now would be the time for me to work on getting things rolling for next year. Even if I'm not the one who ends up getting it done.

If you've listened to AM or FM radio in the past 90 years, it's likely there was an Amateur Radio Operator working one of the technical aspects of that radio station. We do a lot of things that are mostly behind the scenes, so it's nice to be appreciated.\
comment in response to post
We also do many other things. Most of us are reasonably capable network engineers, telecom engineers, and anything from shade-tree mechanics to heavy equipment operators, and on into almost any occupational field you can think of.\
comment in response to post
The premise of the event is that Something has happened and Amateur radio operators step up to provide communications services that have failed for a community. Real life examples of this, not as a weekend event, include Katrina, many of the hurricane events in Florida, and up the east coast.\

Part of the recognition that people and organizations can get for their team is visits and interactions with elected officials, the press, public safety, how the team working a location operates their site, as well as how many other operators they interact with over a 24 hour period. \

For anyone wondering, Field Day is June 28/29 this year. Among the activities there is a contest at a field day site demonstrating that we can communicate from wherever we are needed. We have volunteers working with many police departments, including the Hennepin County Sheriffs department. \

a conviction at a federal court with a pardon for that conviction is likely to leave the state charges applicable, and he would be taken to trial there, and the pardon would not be applicable. I don't expect any governor of MN to pardon him. But that's my perception.
comment in response to post
Tha't largely going to depend on whether the case gets moved to federal court as a federal charge. As the situation didn't involve interstate travel, the charges to take him to federal court are unlikely to be the charges the state has against him. All this to say...

While I do want him to expire in prison, I want that to be after a long healthy life in prison, knowing he will never be released. I'd rather he wasn't a punching bag. I want prisoners to look at him and recognize they are likely to be released before he dies in prison.

Well, if you want to find out, I'm not going to stop you, then you will know. Right?

I can just hear it now. ""Well yeah they bussed in loads of people, all over the country from everywhere else. Just like MAGA rallies. Wait, did I just say that? Oops."

I think it's like learning HTML. For a while that was a way to write yourself a paycheck. Then the field wanted better scripting, and you had to figure out which way to jump, or be lost out in the corner of the field. If you're not actually creative, perhaps it will work out for you though. Briefly.

Well, he has been a businessman in Minnesota for some time, For a lot of MAGA, that's just too close to being a democrat. Ask Representative Emmer. Being from Minnesota is why he didn't get djt's endorsement to be Speaker.

I simply think it's shorthand for "moron Mormon". But I've met several Mormons who were not morons, so we should probably be more specific, eh?

That's for a search on the 'Waltz' spelling that Mike Lee used.

I'll take your word for it. A Google check is pointing me to the representative for Florida for some reason.

Yes, Whether one has faith in the earth, or enjoys it's positive use in stories, I do know too many stories where it is used as a gate for calling upon daemons and evil spirits, it is not itself evil in any such use. That image is in a lot of christian sects though.

So, why would the (maybe) good senator of Florida consider this a nightmare?
comment in response to post
The problem being that he will suggest that the Swastica has a long and honored tradition behind it, which it did up until the 1930's. The Pentacle has been a symbol of mysticism for nearly as long, and would be more of a hated symbol for a moron Mormon.
comment in response to post
It would be a shame if some anonymous housekeeper spilled something that etched a pentagram into the office floor just inside the door.

And apparently I streamed a solution to this on my Friday posting. OK, here's the solution for this puzzle:

In short, build relationships that matter. Make friends. They have been told "The local people are the enemy!" and the like. Show them that you understand they are part of your community. And if you hand off some cards with information on reporting illegal orders and the like, that's good too.

They are more likely to have friends you know, than to be anything less than 4 associations away from the folk in DC. Ask how they like their coffee if you drink coffee, get them coffee. Ask when the last time they got a good meal, and invite one to a local food truck, and buy them a lunch.\

And demonstrated to the world why they don't need to consider him either a threat or ally.

And some would say that nothing like this should ever be seen again.

I'd say that appointing republicans to prison, via conviction, is the appropriate appointment option

As I recall, they have already gone after women who've miscarried, without regard to whether medical care was available or involved. But that may have been speculation on it happening that I'm misremembering.

Ok, again, I'm late, but not as late as I was this morning. Let's take what winns we can find. Eh? I'll be streaming an attempt on YouTube.com/@rusty0101, and twitch.tv/rusty0102. Stop by, say Hi, tell me to go get some sleep, and let's have some fun, eh?

They are likely going to need to know if their artificial tongue and artificial saliva provides the appropriate friction abrasive properties and erosion of the tootsie pop, for that to be a useful metric.

We haven't had that flag since 1959. But it seems appropriate for what Project 2025 is aiming to do.

And the solution for what should have been posted for today:

woke up after 10 pm last night. And when I finally got to stream my attempt to solve, things just could not go right. This puzzle was from the Medium collection. So after solving grabbed _today's_ hard puzzle, and solved that. Here's the solution for the posted puzzle.
comment in response to post
Well now, that turned out to be interesting, not the least of which being that what I posted yesterday was actually a Medium puzzle, it took me 7 min and change to solve. Discoverd my error and solved the puzzle that I should have posted in 18 min and a bit. That puzzle looks like: err, that's not..
comment in response to post
Hmm, this is out of controll, OK, I'm seriously late today. Watch me try to solve this over on YouTube.com/@rusty0101 or twitch.tv/rusty0102

Always respond with genuine curiosity with something along the lines of acknowledging that their actions didn't work out, and asking what they plan on doing regarding those actions in the future. You get to learn if they are following Einsteins observation on insanity. (even if it wasn't his.)
