I read tons of her books as an adult and was honored to get to meet her. #kidlitchat

Yeah, it was fun! Got into the business during the expansion years of the market. My bread and butter was textbook illustration--to eliminate stereotypes. No more moms in aprons, etc. #kidlitchat

Thanks for asking! I am working on final revisions and then on to search for an agent. Story title is The Mirror of Truth. #kidlitchat

I illustrated the cover of third from the right- the Flying Saucer Mystery. Did interiors for that one too. #kidlitchat

I was lucky to get to illustrate a bunch of Nancy Drew covers in the early 80's (Wanderer series #57-71) I did read some of the earlier ones growing up, but was mostly into the Black Stallion series( which I also ending up illustrating the first paperbacks in the early eighties) #kidlitchat

I loved fairy tales and as an adult I still seek out fairy tale retellings- middle grade and YA and adult. Karen Cushman, Gail Carson Levine, Jane Yolen, Donna Jo Napoli to name a few. #kidlitchat

I grew up playing in an abandoned theme park in the middle of the woods, which had a little stone cottage I felt was the cottage of the seven dwarves. My YA retelling (in progress) centers around a young half-dwarf, who falls for Snow White after making a magic mirror for her stepmother. #fairytale
