Subpar Pool, Balatro, and Poinpy are probably the best games on my phone. I literally only keep my Netflix subscription active so I can keep playing Poinpy.

For any curious, my use case was that I had a custom select input with an icon + text label, but if the select input gets shrunk down enough, I wanted to cleanly hide the text and only show the icon.

This is of course a very biased opinion coming from someone who maintains a custom RSS feed reader and frequently wants to see what the underlying data for feeds looks like.

I'm going through this with an amazing coffee shop near us that was one of the only Cool Places on our side of town. They're moving to a great location right by where all the other Cool Places are so good for them but also come on, the rich keep getting richer and we just get weed dispensaries

The lack of support for requestIdleCallback is a relatively small manageable issue but it has really frustrated me a couple times.

You might be asking, wow how does that process take so many months? The answer is Ikea; we love how their stuff looks but ugh, it has been a battle getting all of the parts we paid for. We even had to take a huge road trip to Chicago because they were the only place with one specific part in stock.

Glad to see someone else express this. I enjoyed the game for a while but as things go on you start to run up against some extremely time sensitive puzzles and I ended up getting too frustrated and quit even though I think I was relatively close to the end

Anyways coffee roasting is fun! It has gradually slid from being a hobby that I'm passionate about into more of a chore to to keep the coffee flowing. But considering that I've seen coffee being sold for $18 a bag in the grocery store lately, I think I'm probably saving money doing it myself now

Hacker News comments are always filled with the most insufferable people I've ever seen. They all think they're so smart that they loop back around to being mind numbingly dumb
