One of my best pals is the lead singer in an Oasis tribute band called Stop The Clocks. They are brilliant and they sell out shows all over Scotland

Yes, London is always exciting and it is always a great adventure. The full world is in London, which makes for so much to do

An old coach of mine said he saw a 15 year old CBW play in a youth tournament. He said that Chris was outstanding and one of the best he ever saw 👏

Something needs to be done to stop the people getting ripped off.... BRMC 💚. Not seen them in a while. Great act.. I have Gil Scott Heron's ex right-hand man Brian Jackson on Friday at cosy venue in Glasgow called St Luke's (£25). Then punk all-dayer on Saturday in a park: SexPistols, Stranglers etc

It's frustrating, mate. The Oasis ticket sale for this year's reunion was a farce. Myself and most of my best friends and family tried for tickets. Anyone who got through never paid the original price. It was either treble the price and over. I couldn't afford to pay that.

While at the same time DB's tickets for his upcoming UK tour have been hit by 'dynamic pricing'. Ticketmaster are selling the tickets for well over quadruple the price. It's absolutely shocking. Fans getting the piss taken out of them again by greedy ticket selling companies

We should have won 10-0. We took the foot off the gas after 5.

I've travelled to London from central Scotland (5 hour train journey) for lots of gigs. Sex Pistols, Paul Weller, Wu-Tang being highlights over the years. I've also been to a dance music festival in Croatia.

Correct! I teach at night school, and general consensus on AI by people who value learning development and education is that it isn't a good thing. Whereas, the neoliberal and business-minded crowd embrace AI and already have prepared arguments for how good it is 💷💷💷. Very sad

It feels like AI is at the centre of a clash between people who see university as an awarding business and those who see it as a place of learning and personal growth.

'The First Big Weekend' period. That record summer up a lot of our lives at one point. It was Scotland's alternative national anthem lol

Brilliant list 👏. Can't wait to listen to it.. Sly was some man. I loved his music but I read a lot him about too. In Bobby Womack's autobiography there are some crazy anecdotes about Sly. He was crazy but a genius. His music was all about the highs and the vibe. We lost a great

It's one of they books that you can read over a lifetime. It's brilliantly written ie clear and very enjoyable. A must-read for anyone who is interested in social history and has an interest in the intellectual condition. I love the stuff about the 'autodidacts'

Sarah Galloway who used to run the Access Course recommended it to me. I then referred it a few times for class discussions and cited it for an essay. Noam Chomsky is a big fan of the book

Dave Greenfield of The Stranglers. His sound made the Stranglers different from any other band in the world during their era. He was outstanding and an innovator

My dad and uncles always talk fondly of Lou's testimonial. It was meant to be a great day. Lou said himself he got emotional at the Celtic support that day 💚🍀
