If you're not breaking production occasionally, are you really even programming? 😆

Once upon a time, I had a profile with a long list of my interests, ending with "and the Oxford comma."
However, the list did not use an Oxford comma, for I only wished to see the world burn.

Glad to hear it! I figured it must have been an oversight.

Yeah, if they told me my price was going up $1/mo I wouldn't have batted an eye, but being told it's NOT going up, then finding out in the FAQ that that's only until my credit card expires/gets stolen is pretty odd.
Hopefully it's just a temporary technical issue that's been communicated badly?

It's not that he had a crystal ball, we just keep making the same mistakes over and over.

I really hope you're right! The conservatives still have a sizeable lead in most polls, but hopefully they bridge the remaining gap once Mark Carney becomes the new leader and low-engagement voters start to hear more about him. It is seeming more winnable than ever.

The way I always put it is that Trump won by less than Hillary did when she lost.

In Canada at least it still says Gulf of Mexico, just with Gulf of America in parentheses

I'll talk about the politics of the country that's tariffing and threatening my country as much as I damn well please, thank you very much. Particularly when the people with voting rights there are behaving like fools.

I don't disagree per se, but even if they do all of that, it won't accomplish anything unless at least some Republicans join, which makes "Democrats, get your shit together" a weird framing. If folks wanted the Democrats to prevent fascism, they probably should have voted for them.

Why are you directing this at the Democrats? What in your mind are they able to do without control of any branch of government, besides filing the lawsuits they're already filing?

It's funny how I totally did not extrapolate that all the stuff we did in the tech industry to make computers easy to use even if you didn't understand computers would result in us being basically the only generation that naturally grew up understanding computers.

Outraged by Jan 6, he spent two years getting inside the top ranks of militias like the Oath Keepers. He was stunningly successful. He penetrated a new generation of militia leaders, which included doctors, cops & government attorneys.
This is his story. www.propublica.org/article/ap3-...

I was SO skeptical of that movie (mainly because they split it into two parts) and it turned out to be great.

It can be two things at once: I think she's genuinely had a breakdown with Trudeau, and it's also a bold, long-shot political play. Slash the tires of the current leader making a change of leadership more likely, and also distance yourself from a very unpopular incumbent for the PM run.

My best guess is that this player is kind of fixated on the Wayward Queen attack. It's a bad opening, but it tends to trip up players at this rating who fail to notice everything the queen is threatening. However somebody should definitely tell them that black needs to play e5 for wayward queen...

That is odd. I feel like a 50k student loan was pretty normal in the US even when that aired. (In Canada it would have been pretty high.)
