The worst is when it updates the browser and automatically opens a window with your homepage, and then forgets all the old tabs. Hundreds of anxiety-inducing information pools... lost forever!

That's part of what makes it so strange that Tim Cook did a guest appearance in a Severance commercial. On the one hand, good on him for having a sense of humor. On the other hand... weird

I think someone asked him at the reading if it was deliberate and he sort of said “maybe yes I can’t confirm or deny it.” I would be surprised if they haven’t met honestly.

I met Neal Stephenson at a book signing in SF and he was a super nice guy! He signed copies of this and Diamond age for me and a friend of mine.

Having moved from Chicago where every train ride was $2.50, it’s disheartening to ride to SFO and spend over $10 one way.

Last time I went to Cheesecake Factory I was actually shocked to find they barely had any vegetarian options and didn’t have a veggie burrito, but they made one for me anyway which was awesome.

You can try putting the photo into iNaturalist and it might identity it. It will also contribute to research that way!
