Here's where we will see if all that collegiality among Senators pays off in the form of some investigations. I'm guessing it won't.

Huh. Dad’s a lawyer…go figure. Also he has filed for BK and had debts discharged. “no help.”

He had no help in starting his business, just that he "moved home" ie: was given free room and board by his well-to-do parents. Did I read that right?

Maybe I'll write an article entitled "Why is Ro Khanna Like This?"

Sure, I get that, but is there something about his district that he needs to fake being a progressive?

As down as I am for a deportation inquiry for Musk, I don't think we need another reminder of our two-tiered justice system after seeing the treatment of, say, Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

I feel like this explainer on what kayfabe is & how it relates to US politics is helpful: youtu.be/SZpBvfBxLxc?...
There are undoubtedly others.
Before anyone celebrates a purported Trump-Musk riff, I think it’s important to remember that these are both lying liars who value lying.

I just wonder if the combo of (1) Musk criticizing the budget bill; (2) signaling he may not fund GOP primary challenges; and (3) razor thin margins in the House mean that we may have a shot at killing this bill.

E.g. confirmation bias. We can see this all over, news consumers are seeking out and using media that provides "news" that affirms their ideas of how the world works, etc.
comment in response to
post
Yes, obviously, people need to use their critical thinking skills when reading/watching the news, but there are significant cognitive biases at play when the consumer is responsible for verifying and fact checking.
comment in response to
post
Yeah, I maybe said that a few times during the first term, but historically speaking, I'm not sure that we are, in fact, better than this.
comment in response to

Placing the responsibility on the news consumer rather than the journalists and editors is kinda how we got here in the first place.

Pretty much all of the "fraud" that occurs in Medicaid is on the provider side, not the recipient side. So, let's punish the poor for the actions of for-profit corporations. Great idea, Russ.
