Baby Steps demo impressions: Funny, but the control gimmick wore thin on me after a very short time. It wasn't frustrating or engaging it just... wasn't fun. Personally, I don't think that this idea has legs. But that's probably just a me issue.

Quick MIO: Memories in Orbit demo impressions: Good performance, great visuals, pleasant audio. I wish the combat was a bit more engaging with dodge/block mechanics, but I still had fun even though I didn't finish the demo. Onto the wishlist to track development/impressions.

Hopefully someday we'll get a DBZ:Kakarot-style game for Invincible. Probably won't happen until the whole comic series gets adapted by Amazon, though, which will take a while. I just wish I cared for fighting games at all, I'd probably be pretty excited for Invincible Vs if I was.

Looking back it really was foolishly optimistic of me to expect the GPU market to become more reasonable by now. At least my good ol’ 3060ti still performs similarly to the 5060 from the benchmarks/reviews I’ve seen, especially since I don’t care too much about ray tracing.

I’m bouncing back and forth between BotW and TotK and I’d swear BotW feels faster somehow. (Or I guess TotK feels slower since it released later.) Not the frame rate, best I can tell they’re both running at 60. Can anyone else chime in and let me know if I’m making this up?

Much to my surprise, Pokemon Legends Z-A (Switch 1 version) is going to be included with the online voucher program. I still had some credit I bought from Costco at a 20% discount, making it effectively $40; $48 for the Switch 2 version. Here’s hoping Metroid Prime 4 joins the party.

I don’t think I’ve ever said this about a Nintendo product before, but the Switch 2 genuinely feels like a premium item. The texture of the controller finish, the snappy magnetic attachment, and that screen. Even if it’s “only” a Switch Pro for me for a while, it is absolutely worth it to me.

The Lumines series always hit me as more of a vibe than a game. Like an interactive screensaver with immaculate music and visual direction. I tried so hard to like it, but the gameplay element just never felt engaging enough to me. I'd rather just listen to the soundtrack on its own.
