in spite of new threats and a changing habitat, the drunken salaryman still flourishes in its historical range. nature is amazing

if you see heat problems it'd probably just be from airflow, you'd only need to take all of the really expensive stuff and migrate to a more open case (as much as i love them, there's no need to pay the noctua tax on a case fans arctic will give you five for the same price and they're fine)

sapphire, i see you are a man of culture tight fit in a ΞΌATX case, but take heart, i know of someone who tried to make a 4090 mini ITX build work...

the one arena where you could definitely make this claim and not need to elaborate is storage, though. yes hello i would like my new console game to consume 300 GB and then another 100 GB of patches. they have played us for absolute fools

"optimized" would mean profoundly different things (and would not be called that) if you changed the hardware, the studio, the era, the region... the funny thing about the statement is not that it gets some technical details wrong, it's straight-up nonsense devoid of context. wβ—‹z level commentary

you know you're playing one of the classic final fantasy games when there's a primary stat that doesn't actually do anything

when you're done, you can run the fry oil through a filter to get out the incinerated bits of food, then keep it in the fridge to use again if you fry stuff fairly regularly, it really helps to relieve you of managing the leftover oil

this is in no way unique to games but i am so very tired of journalism having to play stenographer to the dumbest motherfuckers alive because they happen to be executives

the real joy of 3 is in watching how a mission is supposed to unfold, then going back and rigging up a rube goldberg contraption to fuck it all up if someone has an escape vehicle you have access to, you can start the mission, get it rigged with a car bomb, then leave it back where you found it 😌

i don't think there's any coming back from how WATA got their hideous tick mandibles into the hobby and are now considered acceptable or even respectable to work with

i really don't get all the negativity, it's a property with a lot of potential and games have never engaged with it before, i think this could really go places

was truly amazing to learn that not only were the salaries all coming out of the finite "keep the site alive" seed money but nobody had even checked if the one big plan for monetizing the site was allowed by the payment processor (extremely no, maybe also illegal)

my most controversial opinion is that whoever invented the handheld leaf blower should be executed and then left on display as a warning to others, like they used to do with pirates

by "true believers" i mean that a lot of these people seem to genuinely believe that participation in flooding everything with slop is a necessary step towards something meaningful and important to humanity's future which is so depressing that i'd prefer the ones that just want to make everyone mad

they're all here for engagement, it's just whether they're in "your call is SO important to us" mode, or in "why don't you debate me on my podcast?" mode i feel like the former are the true believers and the latter are shit-stirrers taking advantage of automation, but as a large language model i ca

pretty good illustration of why monolithic single-maintaner blocklists are never trustworthy; false positives, collateral damage, questionable judgement even in the best of faith trawl nets take a lot of things that aren't tuna

it's quite long and party balance is a little poorly thought-out, but if you like grandia's style of combat it's a drink straight from the hose i'm surprised it hasn't gotten more of a critical rehabilitation; wouldn't say it's as good as dragon quarter, but xtreme got much the same kind of hate
