Camp Alberta please stop trying to be like America?! Books are not going to hurt anybody. Getting fascist cues and trying to implement them will hurt many!

Talk about sitting in entitled seats believing that they're better than everybody else when they're really not.

Above all... May the process of restoring our nation (however long it takes) be the one thing that we are committed in doing after such a drastic fall. Our family, friends, and strangers who live on this land depend on this commitment
Our neighbors and allies depend on our commitment.

May we love those different from us fiercely.
May we find time to laugh and dance despite the pain.
May we love others liberally.
May we march as many times until we get what we want.
May our leaders finally listen to us.
May evil fall!
May the stupidity we face crumble under facts.

On this Sunday, tell me what you think.
Meanwhile, for anyone who takes the time to read these posts may I ask that you allow me this benediction
May we survive this hell.
May we survive this war in this world.
May we survive loss of friendship and family.
May we survive our loss of sanity.

I'll keep you posted about what I find at this particular church that I'm interested in. Safe to say I don't want it to be another situation where I end up keeping the baby but throwing out the bath water. For once, I'd like to enjoy Jesus without it turning into rules and regulations.

"I'm not into Pat answers to just cover complex issues." I'm with her 100%.
The Christian religion in America fails to go deeper and talk about who we are as sexual beings. It's that lack of honesty that is driven men to do horrible and abusive things into subdue women from themselves internally.

I tried to work through those things here on this account and hope that what I share will help somebody else along the way. My attitude towards women has totally changed of course during this process.
My takeaway from the beautiful woman in our conversation is kind of how I feel these days.

Nor was he pressing me to attend the church setting on a regular basis. I think more than anything he just wanted me to know that I wasn't alone in my thinking.
As you gather, I speak a lot about the way the church has f***** up sexuality for both men and women--especally women.

He insured me that the congregation is diverse, the music was contemporary, but the fellowship is worth it.
I told him that I would consider going one Sunday before the summer is out just to see what it's like. No promises. No commitments. Just to observe and enjoy. You wasn't there to convert me.

We even found out that we have some common friends from organizations that we believe in. It was so uncanny just how it all came together but the biggest thing was he encouraged me that I should visit a church setting that meets in the theater in town.
"Man, you know I like my Sundays free,"I said

We talked everything from racial issues to purity culture to our frustrations with church culture in America. We did this over beer and a good laugh. I respect any minister who could take time out of their day to just be themselves and share in settings unfamiliar to most people in church culture.
