It could irradiate in every direction in front of you. I use the torches sometimes in front of me pointing towards each other so the air that is in front of me, which will come into my lungs, get the highest dose. Or laying on the table in front of me pointing up (keep vents unobstructed!!!)

Doesn’t the exposure dosage depend on the angle? For germs and for humans? I think the most effective is to target the lights in a way that it points just in front of you without obstruction. Prevent overexposing and kills the bugs

So that’s probably a yes.
Magic will make it go away.
In April, right?

…could give better overall clean air in the whole space.
But don’t get me wrong, it’s great that you manage to do this in school 🥳!
How do you link it to biology?
I homeschool, interested in whatever activity I can leverage in the learning plan

It seems filters are expensive everywhere. PC fans, e.g arctic P12 pack of 5, are probably affordable and I understood they run with less energy and noise, so u get good ventilation bc they can run on high.
That’s why I asked.
And smaller assemblies with 2 filters but more units per classroom…

Are the box fans very cheap in your country?

I have a Philips 800 series with those round filters, and I got some spare filters, I will try a 140mm PC fan with adapter for USB (to power from any adapter or power bank), let's see how the Philips filter performs. I'll let you know if it is good!

I have been researching to make a usb powered, will use 12V to 5V converter with adapter for the 4 pin of the fan. I am not going for rgb in my first attempt, but for later models, look up in twitter for TheFandelier posts, very inspiring ideas.

Did you think of using pc fans instead of box fans? It seems they are quieter, more energy efficient and high CADR.

This is awsome info, you are doing a great job that helps everyone!
Did you consider using PC fans instead of a box fan? it seems they are more energy efficient & quieter, I'm gonna build my first, just need to find good filters in Europe 🤯, filtrete are a bit above my budget.

Do you have any recommendations for filter brands one can buy in Europe? I am trying to source them here, filtrate is so expensive, and I have no idea what brands I can trust. I find a few over amazon (German amazon). I would appreciate tips on how to select a quality MERV13

In an emergency, would the surgical mask protect someone, e.g. taping it around to ensure it seals against face?
I have some still at home from 2020, using for pollen in springtime, but wonder if there's something else they can be used for.

But why is your mask on your desk??😱
