like that is a pretty scary thing for a guy like me but I don’t think it’ll be bad. I also hope my circumstances allow me to get into the groove of that mindset in a way that will let me keep it as a habit rather than easily abandon it for my current comfort again later.

Same feelings as the show for him even with the more substantial screentime, his interactions with Shinji are incredibly heartfelt and heartbreaking by the end. Just incredibly solid movie across the board even if I wish we got more top tier stuff outside of Shinji/Kaworu.

Just a cool reflection of the character as even when he could take action that doesnt change the fundamental issues Shinji has that causes him to make mistakes and it basically addresses the "just get in the damn robot" sentiments people had towards him in the show. Absolutely adore Kaworu as always

love how compelling Shinji is here. Trapped by the past yet still feeling the desire to take action and so anything he can to undo his mistakes even when everyone else is saying not to. Its a stark contrast to how he was in the tv series where he couldnt take action in the end when he needed to.

10) Evangelion 3.0
Was not expecting such a massive timeskip but its really cool as a premise to see how the world has changed after Shinji's decision at the end of 2.0. And while the side characters arent totally fleshed out yet we get good glimpses of who they are now. More importantly though I

9) Captain America: Brave New World
Standard MCU flick, its pretty fun and hit me harder than I thought it would. I like Sam, I like Ross, I like Isaiah. Some of the coolest MCU fight scenes. Everything else is neat, nothing outright terrible.

So I might say goodbye here soon, who knows, not sure how I want to handle things yet.

already have that I do not need any social media to communicate through. Being on bluesky, twitter, tiktok, whatever is an experience thats only growing more pointless and frustrating to me even if there are still things I want out of them.

platforms with all these amazing artists. But I think the constant discourse and annoying stances that worm their way even into my following feed just kill so much of the desire I have to be on these apps and especially when much healthier conversation always exists within the friend groups I

inch of the underground areas and Caelid and I fucking loved every second of it. It still amazes me how many corners of this game I've never been to and things I haven't seen even after hundreds of hours of gameplay. Its well and truly a game I'll never get tired of.

8) Psych
Few years of watching this series with my friends and I'm finally done. One of the funniest shows I've seen and it's like surprisingly consistent across its run and after 8 seasons I gotta say I really like all these characters.

scenes from the original or scenes remade to fill the same purpose. I had a really good time, massive step up from the first movie and I have zero clue whats coming next except hopefully Shinji/Kaworu greatness.

massive in scale and devastating, like I love that the aftermath of one of the fights unleashes a tsunami that completely wipes out the city and when Asuka shows up we get to see her almost smash Misato and Shinji in their car. And the movie just has general Evangelion goodness aside from that,

with Evangelion and how it depicts that sense of self vs the perception others have of them, it feels there's at least some worth in showing these ideas off at least. Generally speaking its still pretty cool, the movies really making themselves stand out with its action scenes. They feel so

human limits for the sake of Rei at the end. I don't think any of it necessarily feels out of character too which I think is fascinating but the specific development of events feels like it naturally pushes Shinji at least towards these actions. Not totally sure if there's a message behind it but

positions Asuka and Rei more prominently as love interests, there's a whole lot more fanservice, and I think even Shinji's actions towards the end feel very him living up to the masculine expectations that Ive often seen pushed onto him. Pushing back against his father and NERV and pushing beyond

mind. Its fascinating though, I've always heard about how the rebuilds engage with the perception and legacy of the series and I didnt get much of that in the first movie but I think im getting a better grasp of it here as we went through all the very modern stereotypical romcom shenanigans which

7) Evangelion 2.0
I was not expecting this to be such an insane experience lmao. The way the movie basically completely rebuilds this portion of the series and its new approach to things really threw me off guard and thats not even counting any of the actual conclusion which was just blowing my

and with more time it couldve been one of the best to ever do it. From episode to episode if you were heavily invested in it you wouldve got a lot from the show but even that betrays you at the end because the show will never get a proper ending.

the friend they're trying to save and their rapport in each other which gives them the strength to carry on and fight for what they believe is right rather than succumb to the temptation of death. So overall I like the ideas here even if the show is honestly pretty messy, I think its full of passion

with her as the jealousy of Acca getting married really twisted all the existing aspects of her personality into something without morals. She wanted all the relationships with the men in her life for herself. I think it contrasts well the relationships of the main four girls who are all defined by

The Accas were prideful and projected their own impressions of what a 14 year old girl should be onto a blank slate and created a murderer they could never understand and never wanted to understand. And despite all the Accas got wrong with Frill, the series doubles down on the relationships thing

child and adult without properly how complicated that age and point of development really is. Plus the whole Frill and Accas backstory I think does touch on the one bit of gender perspective the series does insist on, which is that men are proud and women are sensitive to the relationships of others

Even Rika becomes easy to read after an episode with her and she's definitely the one with the most misdirect about her intentions and feelings. I think its even more evident just by the main source of conflict all being brought about by Frill, an AI who was designed to be the middle point between

they're loosely connected just by the existence of these characters being there across all of em. Development doesn't feel like the strong suit of the series, and im not sure it desires to be either. Each character has their own ideas around them and the series continuously builds on that under the

6) Wonder Egg Priority
An ambitious and delightful series despite the fact it feels like its missing the second half of itself that will never come. Generally speaking, I think its a bit incoherent to just casually watch. None of the scenes feel like they flow into each other but instead feel like

complicated but it adds in a very sincere element of unhealthiness to their relationship that causes them to reflect on their choices and where they've ended up. Maybe there was a better path they couldve walked where they'd end up at the same point but without needing to make as much sacrifices.

seeing them navigate the multiverse as they struggle with how out of place and weird they feel about themselves and their own worlds is super compelling. The stuff with Simon and Betty towards the end in particular is just the hardest hitting stuff since their relationship was already tragic and

5) Fionna and Cake
Adventure Time continues to be peak all the way to the point of finally being caught up. This series was amazing in just all regards, no bad episodes and I'm extremely happy with how everything concluded. Fionna and Simon are some of the best characters in the franchise and
