Yes, the MLIS is valuable and necessary for being a librarian, not sorry about it. Lots of people worked very hard for those degrees and use them effectively daily. Telling them you can do their job without it is more “death of expertise” BS

I understand possessive investment in material prosperity! I get it. But not to the exclusion of the safety of vulnerable people. That voice that says "why are they destroying..." STOP. Think about the violence and oppression that CAUSED that response. Don't get it twisted.

If you want a single number, I've switched to only looking at dew point in the summertime. Gotta learn what the ranges mean, but so much more helpful than actual temp in that season
