Kingmaker* Though the kingdom management stuff was pretty fun, I'd probably go back for that eventually and try and finish it before getting into wrath

I had the same issue with Kingmakee, put like 90 hours into it only to realize that I'd stopped having fun with the combat cause it became a grind of attrition more than strategy as it was in the early levels and the narrative wasn't enough to keep me there for more

Its a narrative adventure game with about 8-10 hours of gameplay. It features full Japanese voice acting by some of the best VA's in anime. (Will have English VA as well)

The game was written by the legendary Moa, who created Hatoful Boyfriend. Yes the Pidgeon dating sim. They also created several of the game's characters! The script along with the amazing VA always has me laughing despite playing the game a million times.

Upgrading our engine build to 5.5 is on the roadmap anyway, but it's good to know most of the new anim stuff would work backwards that way to 4.26!

Thanks for the heads up! To clear my understanding, you mean that the MM transitions wouldn't be useful given the speed at which our character is moving? Maybe in that they're more designed for realistic motion or something?

It is wild though, looking at the 5.5 animation sample it has a ton of great stuff to polish the animation layer and physics transitions, probably want to integrate that after I update our engine build

Nope! This build is in 4.26, but the mantling system is mostly built off the Advanced Locomotion System published by @clongmire42.bsky.social way back

The data consent angle is emotionally understandable, but ultimately, everyone getting all mad about it and pushing that kinda behavior underground is counter productive IMO
