About a decade ago, I put down my hammer to stay home with my chronically ill child. Someone in a stay at home dad group asked me if I wanted to review comics for TFAW. They paid me in comics. Looking back, that was such a weird beginning, but I appreciate every bit of it. Sad to see the site close.

Started reading The Talisman with my 11 year old. I know he's going to really like it when it gets into the meat, but holy hell I forgot what a slow starter this book is. If I hadn't read it before, I don't know that I'd make it through these opening chapters. Super important stuff, but damn.

I leave my DMs open, because comics. That means I get a lot of SPAM messages. I usually ignore them, and most of the time, the account is deleted shortly thereafter. This one made me laugh. "Hi! I help people with scammers!" Gets account deleted within 2 days for being a scammer.

Validation comes in weird forms. I remarked in an article that I had placed my Fanhome USS Stargazer in the stand upside down, because this particular starship looks almost the same when inverted. I just noticed that one of the images I used, from the Fanhome website, also has the ship inverted.
