About a decade ago, I put down my hammer to stay home with my chronically ill child. Someone in a stay at home dad group asked me if I wanted to review comics for TFAW. They paid me in comics. Looking back, that was such a weird beginning, but I appreciate every bit of it. Sad to see the site close.

In which, @paulvato.bsky.social hawks boutique hydrogen peroxide, and Polly Pocket makes me look like an asshole in Johnny's new segment. youtu.be/7TLQAz4Udk0?...

Fans: Wow, those new torpedo bats are something else. Yankees fans: It's not the bats! *The Yankees hit 15 home runs in the first 3 days of the season. Nine of those were by players using torpedo bats.

Anyone else thinking a huge ass monopoly getting broken up into pieces that were then bought up by a different huge ass monopoly is maybe not a good thing? Just me? K.

Producer Aron is 100% going to take credit for this, but we know who was really behind this stroke of genius, don't we?

@saintamish.bsky.social reviews his Fanhome Darth Vader Build-Up Model. Check out his thoughts at the link >> tinyurl.com/y3c2rwwf

A couple days late for St Paddy's, but there was a time...

Complete and utter disorder, and 100% on brand.

Today’s recording of WtFiF? went off the rails in every possible way, and in watch back, I realized it’s the best episode we’ve done. We have found our niche, and it’s absolute chaos.

I’m not angry when someone tells me that they don’t believe in using the Oxford comma. However, I am surprised, saddened, and disappointed.

This Darth Vader buildup is going to be a lot harder than I thought. I realize most people don’t have ogre hands, but come on.

Just got two packages, and am severely torn between beginning my Fanhome Darth Vader 1:2 scale buildup, or assembling the new Fanhome ET Buildup stages.

The post-credits scene on Trap almost (ALMOST) made it worth sitting through that turd.

Started reading The Talisman with my 11 year old. I know he's going to really like it when it gets into the meat, but holy hell I forgot what a slow starter this book is. If I hadn't read it before, I don't know that I'd make it through these opening chapters. Super important stuff, but damn.

Took off for the Arizona desert to catch some Cactus League baseball. Bakersfield Decals did an awesome job with that Ripple Effects wrap.

Giants @ Dodgers was sold out, so I figured I’d go see Trout bang a couple out. Nope. 2x HBP, and a walk with bases loaded to push in a run. Opposing pitchers are terrified of this guy in March.

Cleared the parking awning at my Airbnb by a quarter inch. This could have ended very badly.

I asked for a different chair. This is what they brought. Tge Ahern Hotel staff doesn’t mess around.

That's right. It's Aron's fault. Always Aron's fault.

Watched back yesterday’s recording to put the description blurb together, and I 100% mixed up Kevin Eastman and Robert Kirkman in the Liefeld segment.

Call time is in three hours. Having a hard time choosing between pink and mint. I’ll probably go with pink. Or mint.

My kids have never seen Critters, and the whole series is on Prime. Of course we have to binge the franchise now. Just started the first one, and holy shit, is that a super young Lin Shaye?

I leave my DMs open, because comics. That means I get a lot of SPAM messages. I usually ignore them, and most of the time, the account is deleted shortly thereafter. This one made me laugh. "Hi! I help people with scammers!" Gets account deleted within 2 days for being a scammer.

Validation comes in weird forms. I remarked in an article that I had placed my Fanhome USS Stargazer in the stand upside down, because this particular starship looks almost the same when inverted. I just noticed that one of the images I used, from the Fanhome website, also has the ship inverted.

TARIFFS!!! How will they affect the toys, collectibles, and comics markets? Two of the world's leading collectibles experts, Johnny Jimenez and Steve Johnston, are joined by cohosts comedian Paul Vato and @thecomicon.bsky.social's @saintamish.bsky.social to speculate. youtu.be/dJdSerm-fNI?...

I'm really looking forward to having a 3"4' Sith Lord in my bar.

Almost all US comics are printed in Canada, and 80% of the world's toys and collectibles are manufactured in China. This week, the gang takes a look at who pays the new tariffs on these items and what impact that could have on the industry. New episode drops tomorrow at 4 PM PT/ 7 PM ET.

It's Career Week at my kids' school. Today's theme is 'Dress as an adult you admire.' My kids are rad.

In which I get very excited about a toy car.

After using the extractor to remove a sheared bolt, how do you get the broken bit of bolt off the end of the tool? Asking for a friend.

Be the Road Runner. Let someone else be the Coyote. Just “Beep-Beep!” and keep zipping along while they frustrate themselves trying to stop you.

Show prep is rough, but someone has to do it.
