One Muslim country, one, is offering help to Palestinians. Shameful.

I can't be moving in a city with no trees and no parks, where the only featured activity outside your job is shopping at malls.

UK PM urged today, "the UK should not jump in with both feet to retaliate against Trump's trade tariffs". Neville Chamberlain would be proud.

China has like a 500 years economic plan. The US, two weeks, if any. The US is in no position of strength against the US.

Typical UK not wanting to take side between the EU and the US. And you wonder why the EU folks said good riddance after Brexit.

Cute. You want to scratch that little head.

I use the same guiding scope and camera.. like probably 90% of astrophotographers. lol. I'll go monochrome camera next year. But i just want to fuck around with my 6D MarkII a bit longer. I just love that camera so much. 6 years of use and still no bad pixel. It's a machine.

Great job. Who needs an airy disk corrector when you have a lense that sharp. lol.

nice! This was my next step this year. Have you tested it? what app do you use to automate the autofocus? Can you operate it with PhD?
comment in response to post
Yep. No AF, but a stunner for astro and portraits (as long as your subject stays absolutely still, lol)

You must stop filling your salt and pepper shakers with politics. This thread isn't the place.

The object is 2400 LY away in a very densely populated region of our galaxy. I would say the dust cloud is about 150 light years "tall".
comment in response to post
This is the wrong unit to use, since the image can be seen in different screens. A pixel would be better. Since the finished photo is rendered with fixed amount of it. The object is 2400 LY away from us, in a region densely populated with stars. I'd say the "silouhette" is 150 LY tall.

You're welcome. I don't post for the fame. I get pleasure producing these, and even more pleasure from people expressing their awe before what the universe looks like.

Nope. A crop into a photography i have taken with my gears. The scope is extremely sharp. The cropped area is about 20% of the whole frame. It's just that it takes quite some work. In the words of the writer of a classic astrophotography manual, "I love astrophotography because it is hard."

You should hear my seventy-some mother in law, born in El Salvador, talking shit - in Spanish, she speaks nearly no English after 50 years in the US - about black people. She lives in San Francisco. Always refused to walk down the Mission, just in case someone thinks she's Mexican...

Did you know that when a man gets his testicles cut off, his immune system shoots up. Why? Because men are expendable.

The best way to sooth your anger is to not talk or post about the guy at all. Don't even watch the show. See, I wasn't thinking about him at all, haven't for days and months, then you brought his name in my feed. :)

De Gaulle one day met the US Ambassador at l'Élysée. The French leader went, "i want you to vacate all US bases from France in 24h". The ambassador said, it's gonna cost ya. De Gaulle snapped his fingers and asked some minion for his checkbook. True story.
