Well, I guess a lot of these people, unlike Stephen Miller, moved into MAGA from some sort of normie politics. I had never heard of her before Fox.
Thx for the info/perspective

Too rough! Sorry. Its just that I think these days there is not much tradecraft in Congress these days.

Yeah, but now that line "Career government workers ..." reads like something from Laura Ingalls Wilder.

Why bottom up and not top down? Lets use GenAI to automate the tasks of administering a university. It can start by setting up a schedule of university officers and staff to RIF and even contract with a Soylent Green mulching facility.

Yikes. I almost regret reading this. It sounds depressingly spot on.

The official Dem Bluesky acct has got to be one of the most irrelevant things in social media. You might as well tell people to read the platform doc.

Voting for Clinton was the only time I thought "lesser of 2 evils". The best thing about him is that he has largely stayed out of sight in recent years. Surely no regular voters have any concern with protecting him from his own possible misdeeds

The payment on the debt is huge and growing. Soon $1 Trillion. This is not like post WWII when we were rebuilding our economy, also Europe and Japan, bldg interstate highway system, and paying off war debt. In our time it all goes into hedge funds. Raise taxes, pay it down, for the future.

Re ACA cost, it seems opaque. Not unlike airline pricing, famously complex

I try to train myself to say "health care coverage".
I pay for home insurance in case my house burns down. Dont think its gonna but I pay just in case. We socialize the cost of K-12 education, roads, parks even if not everyone goes, common defense, etc. Great idea: healthcare too

Yes. I agree. given that you are about to vote in a RCV election. Where I am (MI) we are likely to have a ballot initiative that would make state elections RCV and would allow cities to use either systyem. So far the effort is poorly explained. This could lead to defeat or poor implementation

I have experience with the ACA. The healthcare market place is not good for me personally. The best I can do is pay very high premiums (thats with tax credit!), pay full retail price for Rx or Dr, up to $9000 deductible. The only way this is good is that it protects me from poverty given bad illness

I work full time. In my industry I will never have employer-provided health coverage. Residential construction.

With only 2 real candidates, RCV is the same as regular plurality-wins voting. But in a multi candidate primary it could make a big difference. Probably some astute data analysis could answer the question, could Trump have lost his original nomination if all Republican primaries were RCV?
comment in response to
post
Yeah ... the fact that there are various implementations is possibly confusing.

In Michigan a group is trying to get a RCV ballot iniative going. The org does a woeful job of explaining what it is (how it works). Hopefully they will explain better if they get enough signatures to actually get it on the ballot.
Interesting to hear that Mills got elected thru RCV

He asks if illegal aliens should have medical care.
Then he thinks its a real gotcha when she says "everyone in the world should get medical care"
"Yes! Thats a yes!"
Lets hear him make the case why not. I would be floored if he could get past "They"re illegals!"
