I feel like Silco's the kind of guy who gets his arm broken in a fight and ignores it. He won't stop. I think that's how he got Sevika's respect to begin with. Less so now that he's able to rely on Sevika and settle more comfortably into a shot-calling position, but he earned that position viciously

It's a little bit innate though, too. Like he's so fucking scrappy. He refuses to die. Why are all the other chem barons listening to him? It's not just Sevika, like.

All of that said, I'm positive Singed at least has something to do with all of this. Silco's managing his pain with various drugs and chemicals on a daily basis, he takes his shot in the eyeball once daily and who knows what else. He definitely has a routine.

Back pain, same thing. This dude looks like he runs on adrenaline all the time. His body just will not quit, he will keep going until he is physically incapable. His spine has stopped bothering to send signals to his brain, it's not listening.

He's absolutely not a tummy ache survivor, that man raw dogs the grey with no mask, so I assume his gut is as solid as his lungs and he could drink radiator fluid and not notice.

Which is why he's probably the worst flu sufferer imaginable. It's the only way I can think that his body would betray him. That man chain smokes cigars and always has a whiskey in his hand like his stomach is rock solid and he's never had a hangover even at forty. So the flu takes him out fr

Like he's always been walking around the roughest parts of town in a corset and lifted heels well into his mid-to-late forties, and also the dried blood under his fingernails isn't his own. Like there is a middle ground here.

It's so strange to see it stated that season two yassified Silco somehow as if it came out of left field. Equally as strange as seeing him depicted as a vapid waif who used his pouty lips to get bigger boys to do his heavy lifting for him. Like both takes are caricatures of a well nuanced queer man.

the interesting thing about silco's montparnasse coding is that there isn't really an enjolras equivalent to act as his narrative foil; like there are zero characters from piltover who are really advocating for zaun's independence as a matter of justice as opposed to a matter of avoiding conflict

he's so patron-minette coded for real

"You can't cut a deal with a snake and also cut off its head"
"We finally get rid of Silco and ten more pop up to replace him who are just as bad"
I'm literally not seeing much else that Silco could have done to get the cooperation of the toughest folks in the Undercity, honestly

They also obviously get SIGNIFICANTLY WORSE the second Silco kicks the bucket which means there was a lot of stuff he simply was not allowing them to do.
I dunno man. I dunno. He's so delightfully hard to pin down.

The other chem barons are firmly in the lawful evil category, they're willing to do awful things for the sake of personal profit ....... and he fucking gasses them for it, to remind them he's allowing them to operate this way in order to achieve ends that do not fall into the lawful evil category.
comment in response to

Silco is willing to participate in lawful evil but I would not place his core values in that category, he's simply decided it's the only plausible route to achieve his ends. Is that enough?

"Viktor and Jayce hated Heimerdinger's dog, he almost vaporized it" JAYCE almost vaporized it and Viktor laughed because it was HILARIOUS
I also feel like Heimerdinger let his dog get away with running amok and that's probably what he hated
comment in response to

The recall on any of Viktor's dogs would be absolutely insane, sure. Meticulous and attentive training. But look at the way that little boy hugged Rio, he wants face kisses and lets his dog(s) sleep in the bed.

Anyone who is that motivated to help others and do good with his life's work has to be motivated by something and it's usually righteous anger. He just feels his love and his compassion as strongly as his rage

"Well what about Vi" I am once again going to refer to the Sevika point; he can't take Sevika, Vi can take Sevika (or at least hold her own), he's not stupid.
NEVER MIND the way having Vi's literal blood on his hands might hit too close to being accused of having Connol and Felicia's on them too

Point is, I don't think he's as helpless or cowardly or hands-off as he's getting perceived. He threw the first molotov and he'd do it again.

The truth of the matter is, knife fights are over in a few seconds. That's it. And Silco is a man who sees the opening and takes it.
Could he take Sevika in a knife fight? No. He's not stupid enough to try. He'd make sure she didn't see him coming.

I understand on some level that the only depictions of him we see in an actual physical altercation are him trying to get away from Vander but we are losing the context there that he deeply cared about Vander, had just lost Connol and Felicia, and had no reason to try anything but defending himself

He's got that pen in his hand constantly, he's got a brain for both the arts and numbers (he balances his own books, he paints canvases in his office that he hides from view). He'd be an excellent drafting engineer
