Not only is this stupid from Robinson it could be dangerous, you can imagine the AfD claiming that the coalition process is illegitimate and saying something like 'even the BBC said it was undemocratic not to involve us'

Listening to Iain Dale's dictators podcast, which is fascinating - Simon Heffer shows his grudging respect for Franco. Largely it seems because he is a monarchist, which is a useful reminder that monarchists are usually no friends of democracy
