1st policy win of the year baby!!! 🥳🥹 I’ve been working to make Memphis city council meetings more accessible since last year by changing meeting times to 4:30pm to accommodate the average Memphian. After lobbying council members they agreed to change the time to 4pm and it was passed yesterday. 😇

I often reflect on the lesson of epicycles. Right now, there are planetary scientists studying ring dynamics with Ptolemaic epicycles. For some problems they're much easier to work with than ellipses; for perturbations they're the bees' knees. They aren't useless just because Kepler was right. 🧪🔭
