there are 2 approaches to deal with one's flaws and differences:
1. acknowledge & accept them. seek understanding and self-forgiveness. be empathetic and authentic.
2. contain them, hide them, reject them. seek validation & project confidence. pride yourself on conformity and normalcy.

I think I'm going to eternally regret doing comp sci but there is no way at the time I could've justified doing history, my favourite, or actually trying to get an education in art
