If trans people ran the trains, we might be able to get decent public transportation in the US. Get some puppy girls with a train special interest, and by god, those would be the best running trains ever.
I mean, it’s worked for a good amount of the Internet.

They think they’re fucking Galileo with their persecution complex.

Honestly, I’m staying positive about stuff like this. It means that the Democratic political body (might) finally be getting younger.
I can hope.

This is probably my favorite anime of all time. If it isn’t obvious by my pfp.

Not everyone who doesn’t get vaccinated dies, but we call vaccines life saving. Also, their philosophy of interacting with young people is…questionable. Do they think that you can combat clinical depression with a high five?

You know that they’re likely just going to remote drive these with overseas contractors and call it “AI”

I don’t believe that it’s not ready not to blow up, let alone drive itself.

I thought this was about the UK ruling until I read more, in which case, the headline is even more unhinged than I initially thought.
Most recent Civil Rights wins/losses in the recent years have gone through SCOTUS. Did they have the same articles when the Conservative majority gutted Roe v Wade?

That’s a name I’ve not heard of for a long way. I remember growing up among evangelical types. That was something dads went to in the early 90s.

And also like…for leetcode, you run into the possibility that the interviewer has like one favorite class of them, and now suddenly you’re screwed because of your interviewer’s pet interests.

Leetcode questions are pretty useless. There are only a few instances where I ever have had to think about such issues, and it’s almost always like: use a map-like data structure instead of an array for quick data access.
I’ve never once had a reason to write a tree transversal algo irl.

Also, if they really want to be extra sure, they could make puberty blockers more accessible. But…you know…in the end, it’s never about the child. This is all about the parent’s conception of who the child is and which identities are valid.
So, Thomas can go take a hike.

Honestly, this argument can be made for literally any medical procedure that’s considered life saving. It’s child neglect in either case to not seek treatment that gives them the best chance of survival.

Early bsky has a lot of lore. A lot of issues, but shit was fun.

Who needs to learn anything from books when you can have an AI summarize everything for you? I bet he recently learned that horses, despite what books say, actually have arms and that humans have between 4 and 8 fingers per hand. Amazing what AI can teach us!

He’s the more desperate, creepy version of MySpace Tom. He just really wants friends, since he has none of his own IRL.

He also tries to explain stuff as it comes up, so you don’t have to be a security expert or anything.
It’s a lot of fun, and pretty much everyone I’ve recommended it to has loved it.

If you like hacker stories, I would suggest looking into Darknet Diaries. No blender animations though, but the host, Jack, definitely is fun, and is a staple in the hacker community. He also interviews some people with some absolutely wild stories.

Huh…the models created to make statistical inferences actually function by making statistical inferences. Who could have foresaw this coming?!?!

Also, lovely to see that a staple of Tech like Wired is being a positive force in this moment, especially given a lot of the giants seem to either want to ignore it or are actively collaborating with the administration.

…I am morbidly curious about this person’s mental model of world history if they think that immigration law has been established for thousands of years.
comment in response to

True. The Catholic immigrants from Ireland and Southern Europe were claimed by some to be a national security threat due their supposed allegiance to the Pope.
Anti-Immigration is an old means for nativist groups to drum up support.
I say fuck the racists. Borders are an illusion anyway.

If so, then clearly the World Cup is going to be real fucking awkward with thousands of tourists waving the flags of other countries.

Don’t let the Fascists dictate the language of the debate. Instead of cowering from multiculturalism, you should embrace it. It is what the US should be.
Further, even if these people weren’t even citizens but instead immigrants, a flag does not make them a military force.

Which, funny enough, was an issue for the Irish: being seen as foreign invaders in their new homes in the US.
The only difference is one group has been allowed to be seen as part of the US, while the other still is being other-ed.
comment in response to

As people mentioned: if you can do one better, do it.
Also, why is waving the flag of another country an issue here? Someone can be Mexican and American at the same time.
I see no difference an Irish-American family having an Irish flag other than the racism of the Fascists.

I have to wonder: why would they think this is more efficient than a human? They still have to pay the driver, and I doubt they will be able to figure out all the complexities of package delivery. Residential delivery can be super non-standard given all the variables involved
