This is unbelievable. You could imagine this happening in the 70s but in London in 2024 it's truly astonishing and depressing.

I was at an airport with good WiFi that blocked video calls and we should encourage this technology on the tube.

Brigid looks like a very good schnauzer but she is also giving your mobile number out to the world.

Yes it wasn't much of a match. Tyson was done after 2 rounds. Being 58 and having spent the last twenty years smoking pot will do that to you.

It is. Welcome. Bluesky ppears to be having a few problems from the volume of people joining but give it 24 hours and I'm sure they will sort it out

There was an anaesthetist at one place I worked who could open a 50 ml propofol with a set of trauma shears like he was opening a bottle of beer. I couldn't get it to work though.

Moved to NZ this year and not missed anaesthetic rooms at all. Like having the space of theatre to induce / block. Pumps set up on charging stands from the start. Just ditch the anaesthetic room.

Good to have you over here. I couldn't get on with twitter anymore but I was missing the good content as well. Hopefully we can build this place better.

At best that is "expert opinion". The lowest level of evidence on the hierarchy of evidence. This is an expensive, population based intervention that could be described as screening and as such should be subject to the same level of academic rigour.

It will likely also produce a load of false positives that will take a lot of time to deal with further stretching resources.

Is the blood pressure accurate? Is there any evidence that it improves anything. Your argument is the same as for homeopathy IE unlikely to do much harm. But like homeopathy it is going to cost a chunk of money that could be used more effectively.

Apparently, canvassing on the door during the election saw lots of people were choosing between the green party and reform. Mad really.
