hey thanks for saying so <3

I was actually working on a vector graphics renderer recently! here’s a pretty early example. The path is a bezier spline, and there’s no geometry or SDF textures being used at all, it’s all software rendered in compute shaders

very nice shots :) can’t wait for you to see the 2nd area of the game

it was a fantastic race tbh!

I can’t believe anyone thought it was a good idea to switch to dry tires haha we did get some absolutely heroic saves out of it though!

Yeah, I look at it like it’s 10000 cuts of time that add up to more than justifying it

also I have all the pawn quotes permanently etched into my brain “Look arisen, a ladder!”

criminally underrated game! it’s so comfortable letting its systems tumble into each other which you never ever see at this tier of budget/production

saw you got it working but fwiw CopyTexture will not work on an async queue because it is not a compute operation. But if you need it async you can just write a tiny kernel to do it explicitly

nice, been eyeing it since Arc is basically abandoned

It means a lot when my issue w/the demo is not gameplay but its brevity. It works in @messhof.bsky.social's favor tho - Wheel World's racing is so fluid & just perfect to ease into. Plenty of interesting takes on sports games lately but this one's my fave yet store.steampowered.com/app/3483160/...

as someone making a non-photorealistic game in C# at the moment I can’t begin to tell you how much I would love to be doing this in C++ instead. it’s not even about performance so much as it is control

we're about a year into it and that area near the two doors has a lot of traffic. no kids though

we did a matte color drench in this darker color for our front room and it's been fine so far! we heard similar advice, but haven't had any problems yet

immediately heard the loco roco soundtrack in my head

yeah it isn’t even good sci fi! Video games aping Ursula K. Le Guin would be a great start…

For it to not even get a nomination, I mean

Yeah I don’t think Consume Me doesn’t deserve a nomination, I don’t mean this as a dig at that game :) but in comparison to Tiny Glade it feels like either a stance against “realism”/PBR/GI as a goal or just ignorance of the craftwork involved in that game

i just can't imagine being passionate about a future where your PC just outputs a rectangle of noise and then your AI card hallucinates it into whatever the user wants their game to look like. psychotic stuff
