I assumed he'd win, but I can never completely trust bankers. I Hope I'm wrong, but I fear he may be a conservative in liberal sheep's clothing.

Well, if you are around at the Toronto Comicon next weekend, come by my table and say howdy.

Well, I'm glad you enjoyed the experience. What did you end up doing?

Hi Derek. I taught storyboard at Max, for about 4 semesters. Whoever followed me may have been your teacher, too. Did you end up working in animation?

Eliminating the parking won't work without lots available for the volume of cars needing spots. Unfortunately, city streets designed decades ago couldn't predict the insane traffic we'd be dealing with. It is impossible to accommodate parking, bike lanes, streetcar tracks, and traffic.

I went to see this with about 5 other people. I loved it, but afterward everyone in my group was going on about how terrible it was. I bravely defended it, but to no avail.

Did the Republicans invoke Order 66, or something? Between Durbin and Newsome, it looks like Deomocrats are switching sides.

Namor in the swimsuit issue is just regular Namor.

It's not bad, but is very different from the book, particularly in that it covers more of Sook-Yin Lee's part of the narrative. Not surprising, since she directed it. Good acting, overall, and serviceable direction.

Colan was certainly one of the greats, but I always thought his best work was on the weird, spooky stuff, Like Tomb of Dracula, Doctor Strange, and Warren publishing.

I get it. It was like a rite of passage for budding comics pros. Start at Gold Key, move up to Charlton, hone your chops, next step: The Big Two.

Hmm... well, I agree that all writers should read extensively in a wide variety of styles. However, there's still a discernible range of quality within any genre. Understanding what's good and bad in the genre would enable an observant reader to aim high when writing it. Not ideal, no, but possible.

Obviously, I don't want PP to get elected, the man is a nightmare. Still, danger might well emerge from elsewhere.

Unfortunately, everything mentioned here is exactly why I don't trust Carney. I suspect he's not a centrist, but a conservative in sheep's clothing. I hope I'm wrong, but I have a bad feeling about the guy.

What a surprise. The town halls were performative to begin with, so ending them makes no difference to them at all.

Yeah, that's great and all, but I assume this is with Carney as the candidate, and I wonder about his liberal bona fides. I just can't shake the feeling that a bank guy is likely a conservative in disguise.
