Indivisibles. You know what to do. Contact @reed.senate.gov’s office to demand a no vote. Watch the video yourself embedded under Senator Bell’s post.

Holy shit. Senator Jack @reed.senate.gov is open to voting for Dan Caine, Trump’s nominee to run the Joint Chiefs. Trump said Caine told Trump, “I love you, sir. I think you’re great, sir. I’ll kill for you, sir.” We can’t let Trump politicize the army. That’s very dangerous.

Oh, a Sinclair station. Now I understand.

Democrats are fundamentally misunderstanding the moment: We're not asking them to be *legislators* right now. We need them to be *politicians.* There's nothing to be done about the legislative situation. They're right about that. But there's PLENTY to be done as politicians.

Jeffries: hey the GOP controls the government, absolutely nothing i can do, gonna work on my personal book tour Sanders: brb i am going to personally barnstorm strategic GOP house districts and try to peel off 2 votes so we can block Trump's cuts to Medicaid www.commondreams.org/news/bernie-...

If you support this, you’re an awful human being

Jeffries should get out of the way. He's showing us who he really is and it's not meeting the moment.

It’s early. Stay tuned.

Staggering that McKee doesn’t have a single serious candidate running against him.

The Chairwoman of the @ridemparty.bsky.social is publicly calling for Dems in Congress to refuse to vote to keep the government open unless the GOP drops all cuts to social programs. And our state party is about as far from a radical, fight the system group as it gets. That’s how serious this is.

PRAMS is the source of data for basically every effort to limit infant mortality and all the health dangers mothers face before and after birth. So a pretty big deal the Elon and Co decided to cancel the program.

Trump and Musk’s illegal power grabs are hurting working people. They’re gutting Medicaid, public education and the VA all to pay for billionaire tax cuts. Today thousands of people showed up at the State House to say we are ready to fight back.

When you watch local TV news tonight, you might not learn that this happening at the RI State House right now.

Great rally! It was inspiring to see so many Rhode Islanders ready to fight to save America from a the dictatorship of a far-right mad king.

Anyone justifying national Democrats' current strategy to you is committing massive, possibly world historic political malpractice, including the elected officials themselves.

Trump pardoned the sentence of arguably the single biggest drug trafficker in American history on his second day in office!

I think there’s this tendency to assume Musk enters each agency with some kind of plan. But his office is 30 people, largely children, and the federal government employs millions. He spends half his time on drugs, tweeting, doing interviews. It’s all random noise www.rollingstone.com/politics/pol...

If you are in or around RI, Come join us! @indivisibleri.bsky.social

This is how the Tea Party started, after all. They just showed up and talked angry shit for a summer & then they got a lot of money from conservative donors, ran candidates for the next Congress and voila, the groundwork laid for takeover of their party. It is far from impossible to do. Hint. Hint.

Republicans have drunk their own Koolaid and are acting like the DOGE campaign of destruction is something they got a huge mandate for, but in reality, most of these incredibly extreme and disruptive ideas were unveiled after the inauguration, and Trump won narrowly in any event

The strongest language I’ve seen from @SenJackReed in days is…retweeting a tweet from one of his colleagues who’s so moderate that he runs as an independent. (And, no, Angus King isn’t rejecting the Democratic Party from the left.)

The closer a Democrat in the US Senate comes to telling the truth about how bad these guys are, the better.

listen to this. Elon can barely form a sentence right now.

I'm sure he's wearing blackout shades for normal reasons.

Wonder what Sen. Mike Lee and all the ‘constitutional conservatives’ and ‘limited government’ Republicans make of the GOP president calling himself a “king.” 🤷🏽‍♂️

AOC speaking to a thousand NYC federal workers and allies about the urgency of resisting Musk 🔥🔥🔥

It’s amazing to me that people still question whether or not Trump is a stooge for Putin.

I'm seeing reactions that "this is all a distraction!" but no, this is a pretty good illustration of Trump's authoritarian turn and a nice way to break through to normal folks who think he's doing normal things.

Murphy: "The game is clear. We can see it. They're not even hiding it. There is not a rule of law anymore. There is one set of law for people who are loyal to Donald Trump, and there is one set of law for people who care criticize him. That is not democracy."

Don't get caught up in Trump's distractions, be like me, a member of Congress, caught up in posting to show my political seriousness by scolding the media about getting caught up in Trump's distractions

This is like the easiest messaging slam dunk of all time my good dude what could you possibly think is more important than the President declaring himself a King and the White House sharing MULTIPLE memes about it! You’re useless!

stop saying things like “do not waste time” on this trump calling himself king while declaring an end to a democratically enacted law is not a “distraction” it is the essence of the evil at hand

How are Democratic politicians so bad at politics? Trump is calling himself a king. That's a bad thing normies can understand. He's also taking actions to make himself king. Those are bad things that are harder to understand ... unless you have an easy way to explain it like him ... just saying it

Protest planned for Saturday

Democratic leaders: I think it's abundantly clear at this point that simply going along to get along ain't gonna work. Trying to negotiate ain't gonna work. Being collegial ain't gonna work. What you're doing right now isn't working. Take your gloves off and punch back. Hard.

Remember, everything is part of the same story. They need to destroy our democracy and crush dissent because letting billionaires take over the government in order to steal from us isn't popular and a functioning democracy wouldn't allow it.

The quickening pace of corruption - the brazen use of the White House to enrich himself and his friends - is stunning. Soon, before we know it, government will no longer serve us at all. It will just be a mechanism to enrich billionaires loyal to Trump.

DEI is the most popular thing in this list lmao

Trump: I AM A KING! NYT: Trump displays a "fondness for regal themes"

Does this surprise anyone? We’ve been talking about this for years. Medical students and residents- like my son - don’t go into primary care because the pay stinks, especially in RI. It’s pretty simple. Pay and value them like the specialists they are. The rest is fantasy.

One thing we can do about the brutal tax assessments hitting Providence homeowners and small apartments is delay the assessment for a year. If the City Council requests, we can give them permission to do it. It’s a standard thing we do if the local government asks for it.

So...in light of the OFFICIAL WHITE HOUSE account tweeting (yeah, it's tweeting) the Time Magazine-inspired image of the individual occupying the White House as a KING that also contains the headline "Long Live the King," - @magaziner.house.gov @amo.house.gov when can we expect Impeachment filing?

Are you ready to rally and take a stand for our fellow Rhode Islanders? Join us on the 22nd for a BIG event at the Statehouse. You're not going to want to miss this. FIGHT BACK & GIVE BACK. Are you in? NOTE: Time Change to 2:30 PM

I did some spot-checking of Mayor Smiley's new tax assessments today. They're wild. Massive increases for single families and even bigger increases for small multifamilies and neighborhood businesses.
